I once had a discussion with a bunch of friends on who would qualify as the greatest Indian actor ever and we ended with consensus around KH… after considering Amitabh, Naseer, Dilip Kumar etc. No one has the range of Kamal across commerce and art, dance, music, singing, languages etc. And most importantly pure passion for doing something at the highest level of excellence and putting everything at stake for it.

He is very handsome, no any Indian actor that much handsome compare with KH and his face expression in romancing and zc😢acting skills fantastic

The screenplay writing workshop Mr. Hariharan mentions in this interview, I was one of those fortunate enough to have been part of it. His shot-by-shot analysis of the exposition scene in Charulatha is still fresh in my mind.

Rajapaarvai was as early as 1981 and his Production company was Haasan Bros which became Rajkamal Films International later on.

28:50 it always surprises me to hear these kinds of views on the limitations and standards of Indian cinema compared to the West. Hollywood has been in decline for two decades now. And I worked in production at Bombay in the 90s finishing off with a couple of years at UTV. Those days we have raved about how much better Tamil cinema was in every respect especially professionalism.

KH evry film is unique and every movie each and every frames like even though good ,bad and ugly in silver screen. I dont know why he does not have an Oscar award. For sagar, sagarasangam, swathi muthyam, indian 1, dasawatharam, the clut classic Nayakan , moondrum pirrare, pushka vimana, virumudi, apporva sahadorgal, anbesivam etc. His acting skills are un comparebal. And no actor in india competitor. He is very much deserved, Bharat Ratna, other than the dadasaheb phalke Award.
