Shankar is the original modern wave indian filmmaking legend ! . He has his own fresh ideas and screenplay movements, shot divisions , all things were revolutionary . Losing his close dialogue writer aid Sujatha is a miss but lets hope for a big comeback in this and game changer.

@@Rabonykannan sorry I totally disagree no doubt AB sir is a legend but he didn't do straight films other languages than hindi in other film industry , KH delivered silver jubilees in 5 languages in 70s and 80s itself in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kanada

No expectations. Shankar is a below average screenwriter. Even the trailer is disappointing. Atleast he have to justify the character and age of senapathi through screenplay. No matter how bad is the film, initial collection 📈

The question is such he have to bring his personal exp to answer... he have extensive experience than anyone else in whole Indian cinema i am sure even big B will echo that or any of khans for that matter .. you take any craft ..there will be significant contribution from Kamal ..so he have lot to talk about

Very intellectual question, asking about senapathy's age. Super.
It’s an amazing interview. Like the way how Anupama conducts this and it shows her passion and thorough research. I also empathize with Shankar for he hasn’t got the true recognition that he deserves for the visionary filmmaker that he is. Much before Rajamouli or other newbies Shankar had started making larger than life fantasy films in an intriguing and convincing way. I wish all success for Indian 2. The visuals are stunning and the drama in the trailer is very compelling.

They could have considered setting the plot few years back. Maybe in 2000 or early instead of explaining that he is a martial art expert hence so fit at 100+ years age.

Film is an art of representation like literature. He is representing a vigilanté, he's not actually killing someone. Of course, all art leaves an impression on mind, yet it doesn't mean that it should eschew from representating what is abhorrent. Don't worry, it won't inspire kids to do unthinlable, nor will it do anything to adults.

Indian(part 1) Senapathy was all about the anguish of a freedom fighter who couldn’t tolerate how the nation he freed had fallen into the shackles of corruption.. it was his pain and emotion that gave the movie so many layers…he’s an angry weak old man.. not some one who would be doing body show or flying drop kick like Jackie Chan..

anupama chopra is mostly being followed by north audience but this specific interview may also be watched by tamil audience...Kamal mentioning about Nadumudi Venu in a malayalam interview wud seem natural however , him mentioning about Venu in this channel shows his relationship wid him , & how humble & great human Kamal is... Dont get me wrong -> Nadumudi Venu comes from an industry which is one of the greatest film making ind in india but unfortunately , less black money is put into film making hence has lower audience base than telugu/hindi films (500cr being put into these industries , who are you shitting , white money? ) & he was one of the greatest actors this country has ever seen (discerning cinema viewers know wht I am talking abt).....
