Just cleaned both grills…. The Kamado Joe Kettle Joe burned all the charcoal more like a kettle and the Char-Griller Akorn only burned about 1/3 of the Charcoal, more like a Kamado

I missed this. My experience is the same. The kettle Joe is great and all, but the Akorn uses far less charcoal, is more expensive, and the benefits are marginal.

I've had my Akorn for two years now. I only paid $150 from Lowes, because of a problem with their delivery. They took off half. I love it and have added last week the Tip Top Temp. Wow, I can control the temp even better now. I had it holding at 180 for a low and slow Pork Loin, then up it to 200, it held it for 3 hours, within 5 degrees.

Have you compared the kettle Joe to the Weber hinged kettle? $, performance, accessories....I think the Joe might take it over all. Joe obviously doesn't need my money since they couldn't keep up with demand. Causing me to get the Louisiana Grills komado at Costco. Which I am happy with. Only gripe is advertised measure of 24" is exterior which makes interior smaller than my Weber kettle. Komado is phenomenal with pizza. Thank you Tom! I don't know if your videos are more educational or entertaining. A very true statement 👏
