Yay! So glad you like them, for a budget pencil I really like them. I wouldn't want to pay the amazon price for them, but at Ali prices I'm very happy. I love all these colour choices, and have enjoyed the pages I've used them on. They definitely work better on paper with a bit of tooth, smooth flat surfaces don't suit them, I think they will be mainly used on my Amazon books, but I have quite a lot of those, so happy days!👍 I'm so pleased yours arrived successfully, after recommending them, I was worried they would mess up. The mushroom has come out beautifully, x 👍❤🍄

This is the first review I have seen about the Kalour. The colors you chose for the mushroom look stunning, and I cannot wait to see you use these on a bigger project. I am the same way about the loops in my pencil cases. I like a loop for each pencil.

Great video, i just brought the Kalour 300 set. I have 5 sets "mix of" H&B and positive art, MarkArr, Castle art.120 oil pencils. 2 sets of 180 oil pencils, Kalour 240 set. 6 zip cases of H&B dawning sketching set, which has 72 to 120 oil pencils. In my opinion, the H&B brand colored oil pencils are very good, mostly budget colored pencils i have. But the overall quality is good. So that's a lot of oil pencils i have, i wanted color verity. I dont use adult coloring books. I only use my oil pencils for drawing and sketching, i look forward to seeing my 300 set this week. 👍👍👍👍

Glad to see you are enjoying the Kalour, I think they are a worthy pencil (at the right price) for colouring books. I have the 240 set and my only gripe would be that there aren’t many cream/ivory type of pale neutral colours to choose from and I was surprised to find myself thinking 240 pencils would be lacking something 😂 Happy belated birthday wishes to you, I hope you had a nice birthday ❤

You did a beautiful job coloring the mushroom. Just stunning. I love my Kalour pencils and find myself reaching for them over and over. As for Lulu Mayo books, I have a hard time finding any pencil set that works well on her books paper. Is it just me?

Hey Kelly, thanks for dropping by. I find I really like the Arteza expert pencils and the Arrtx pencils in Lulu Mayo. The Prismas are not bad but not as good as the other two. Try them and see what you think

Thanks for video I ordered these pencils got them for under £50 from Ali express. I’ve ordered quite a few things now from this site, I’ve never had a problem. In fact quality of packaging is the best I’ve ever received and I’ve ordered a lot from sites in the Uk over the years.

Ive put mine in a different order and its so difficult to find which pencils i want to use, so i think i need to sort them out again. Could you please give me the link to that pencil case please? I couldn't find one with single slots. Also where did you get your number stickers from? Your mushroom looks amazing ❤

Thanks Trudy, yes I kept them in the same colour order as the swatch chart just to help find them really. The number stickers were from Amazon UK. Love your videos and respect your opinion. I did not initially care for polychromos, but now reach for them first- love them. Just wish they had a few more colors. Since you filmed this, have you been reaching for the Kalour?

I used the Kalour about a week ago, I reach for them occasionally but I can’t stop using my favourite pencils, like the Polys, Derwent Lightfast, Luminance and Arteza!

If you are ever in the market again for a giant case, I got a very similar one off of Temu. I'm like you in that I much prefer the single pencil holder versus the one that holds 3. I've been surprised at how much I've used this kalour set since I got it, while they aren't nowhere near the quality of some of my other sets of pencils I still found them to be pretty decent and have reached for them a lot, I like having a ton of colors to choose from.

You got them a little cheaper than ordering from the US. With free shipping they are between $89 to $141. I've had the 240 set for a while and I really like them. I think they work great in Rita Berman books. I think the next Kalour set I try will be the watercolor pencils! Any experience with those? Thanks for the video K!

To be fair, I don't find any traditional pencils lay down nice in Lulu Mayo's books. I had just about given up on them but I love the art in the mythical creatures book so much.. I finally tried my Albrecht Durers thinking it would be a disaster.. but they go down lovely and the paper handles water brilliantly. So now they are the only pencils I use in them. I recently purchased the Museum Aquarelle as a birthday gift to myself and will probably like those as well.

I don’t find my watercolour pencils work well in the Lulu Mayo books, with water I get these weird spots forming on the paper and they sort of annoy me!

They do work well on that paper. I’ve had success with various papers, Amazon paper is good with them. But I’m using them on a Denise Klett page in Mermaids in Paradise. Yuck. Scratchy and dull and not blending well. I’m making notes. I won’t use them in there anymore. I like the metallic pencils and have even used the neons. I just wish my 240 set had more browns. Where did you find that number set? I need one that goes over 150 and haven’t found one yet.
