Mahalo Nui Loa! Aloha Aina! Eo.
On the section where they talk about 'awa and liver issues: Research had shown that liver damage is specifically associated with modern cultivars (particularly those cultivated in Papua, I believe) bred to maximize kavalactones, which also increased toxic constituents that damage the liver. This issue was not found with traditionally grown varieties (also called Nobel varieties), though individuals with liver dysfunction should still consult with their health care professionals before consuming.
What was Kamehameha diet called? The riddle he gave?
Thank you! We have some sort of Kalo in our yard and we are trying to figure out which Kalo it is.

Kupuna kalo website is your best bet. I grew what I was told was from the 'ele'ele group for two years when I first started. After using kupuna kalo, found out it was actually Lauloa 'ele'ele 'ōma'o
