Kalle is an excellent driver, this is also FD Japan though. People who don’t follow drifting always seem to have the opinion that Japanese drifting is more legit or on a higher level and its just not. Kalle is a mid lower pack driver in most other pro championships.

if you can drift on unpredictable surfaces such as dirt and snow it makes sense you can do it on pavement but god damn he was knocking on peoples doors today

He's not just a world class rally driver he is the current wrc world champion

his car control is insane.. that consistent proximity

Kalle has basically a world class car control in tandem. The way he followed Kubo during the Great 8 and being at his door despite the later being slow is just incredible to see. He reminds me a bit of Daigo Saito in the early 2010s, especially his 1st Formula Drift season.

Here in Finland we have been waiting a winning driver like Kalle for two decades. Worth of waiting, what a driver🇫🇮👍.

In Finland we have always had and have great and legendary rally and F1 drivers. Still Kalle Rovanperä is truly something else. At the age of 10 he was faster than his father legendary rally driver Harri Rovanperä.

KZread is fantastic, just watched Rovanperä at 11 years old drifting on some lake in finland to this with him grown up drifting around in japan, amazing stuff

In Rallying if you go over the line you're out. If you're not on the line your rivals certainly are and they beat you. If you want to win WRC 🏆 like Kalle you'll need to be on the line consistently. Looking at Kalle's performance as a finn I have zero doubts what he has done every winter.

It's like One-Punch Man Saitama vs Boros. Rovanpera is a Gold-class athlete and a world-class driver... They never stood a chance.

Kalles been driving everything that has motor since he was like 5 years old, so its no suprise that dude can drift like a king...

i always wondered how a WRC drivers skills would compare to a drifters. answers right here. would love to see a drifter being given the chance to take a car out for the next rally japan maybe not the whole race after all getting comfortable with a co driver would be insanely difficult but maybe one of the special stages they where allowed to practice on.

Definitely. When people think of "non F1 drivers that would do good", most people pick F2 or IndyCar drivers. I feel Kalle has the raw potential to be one of the greatest "racing drivers" in the world, an not just in WRC. Hopefully he gets a shot at F1 and other racing series to accompany his WRC achievements.

No jaa. D1GP ja D1 Lights on huomattavasti suositummat sarjat Japanissa kuin amerikkalaisomisteinen Formula Drift. Tuskin Suomenkaan rallimaine siinä menisi, että joku intialainen riksakuski voittaisi jonkun F-ryhmän rallin.

No drifting on ihan turhaa ja lapsellista pelleilyä muutenkin. Tyylipisteet ei kuulu oikeaan urheiluun. Moottoriurheilussa tosi miehet ja naiset erottaa kello, eikä tuomariäänet. Sopii lähinnä väliaikaohjelmaksi, niin pääsee rauhassa hakemaan lisää makkaraa ja kaljaa jääkaapista. Huonot häviäjät (Lähinnä ämmät ja norjalaiset) on keksineet koko tyylipiste hömpötyksen. Norskit ei aikanaan pärjäänneet mäkihypyssä, niin piti keksiä tyylipisteet, että päästiin vetämään tuomaroinnilla kotiin päin, muutenhan noita jaellaan lähinnä ämmien lajeissa, kuten telinevoimistelu ja tämä rifting.😜
