Mad max, star wars, dune மாறி இருக்குன்னு பேசுறீங்க. அப்படி பார்த்தா இன்னும் நிறைய படங்கள சொல்லிட்டே போகலாம். Blade runner 2049, cloud atlas படத்தோட அந்த future arc, Mortal engines இந்த மாதிரி சொல்லிட்டே போகலாம். But இங்க விஷயம் என்னன்னா கதைய future ல set பன்னும்போது இந்த மாதிரி தான் imagination பன்ன முடியும். அதனால அந்த படங்கள் mind la வந்து போறத தவிர்க்க முடியாது. இங்க இது பிரச்சனையே கிடையாது. இந்த மாதிரி நிறைய hollywood ல அவன் எடுத்து வச்சுருக்கான். அவங்க myth, history ல எல்லாம் ஏகப்பட்ட படங்கள எடுத்து குவிச்சுருப்பாங்க. நம்ம ஊர்ல history யம் மதிக்கறது இல்லை. Mythology யும் மதிக்கறது இல்லை. சரி மத்த industry யாவது அதை எடுக்குறாங்கனா அதை பாராட்டவும் மனசு வர்ரது இல்லை! மகாபாரதம், ராமாயணம் அப்படி னாலே நம்ம ஊர்ல எதோ சங்கி கதைனு நினைச்சுக்கிட்டு இருக்கிறானுக. எப்ப தான் திருந்த போறோம் நாமெல்லாம்.😂 அவங்க நினைச்சிருந்தா பசுபதி ரோலுக்கு யார வேனும்னாலும் காஸ்ட் பன்னிருக்கலாம். Hi mate, I am sure you understand this is a “post-apocalyptic dystopian future sci-fi action thriller”. And most of the movies in this genre are set in such light (e.g, The book of Eli, I am Legend, and many more). Also, this movie wasn’t shot in Digital 3D or fusion camera, but was filmed in 2D and later converted to 3D. I am not implying that all 3D converted movies aren’t up to the mark, but it depends on the company involved in handling the process. There are companies like “Prime Focus” that do an average job, while there are companies like “Gener8” & Legend 3D, that do an outstanding job. As consumers, I feel we need to do our basic homework before spending on anything. Let’s not take a chance at our risk and then start a blame game when the risk doesn't pay off. And should we choose the risk to gamble and end up losing or dissatisfied… Let’s own the consequences of our choice!! I partially agree to your point of the opportunity lost for the original action scope. Since the movie is heavily dependent on VFX and SFX, the superhuman leaps, jumps and all the other physics-defying stunts were necessary. However, inculcating a couple of on the ground hand to hand combat sequences would have made the action more wholesome. Because, we definitely love to watch Tony Stark fly around in his Iron-Man suit and perform all the aerial manoeuvres while beating the bad guys. But, there’s nothing more satisfying than watching Captain Steve Rogers punch & kick the living daylight’s out of Tony (Civil War) or stand his ground and showcase his amazing fighting skills against the much bigger Mad Titan. Cheers! 🍻
