How about the elder should have regretted not helping relocate Kalia to another area with wild Gibbons. Or better still not having been responsible for destroying the forest in the first place to build his farm. In the end it was Kalia who should be the one regretting her friendship with someone who didn't protect her.

Kallia was indeed one of the most gentle loving souls who came to this world as an ape, gibbon or whatever name or species . The very sheer fact that she understood and felt love and affection with other souls such as humans and dogs was really remarkable and so valuable and spirited . She was a messenger of love and peace, gentleness and humanity . 😢😢😢❤

Humanity? It was negligent humans who failed to protect her from other humans, which spelled her unfortunate demise. Maybe 'humanity' in that context isn't all it's cracked-up to be.

The old man's conclusion is the most impactful thing in this video. He seems to be feeling guilty for killing the gibbon, as being close to the village was the reason it got into that situation.

He should feel guilty. If Kalia was a member of his family, he should have protected her like a member of his family. Better he should have called wildlife protection officers to relocate Kalia to another area which had wild Gibbons. Or better still farmers like him should stop destroying the Gibbons forest habitat in the first place.

It just pissing me off to see how our fellow humans just screwed everything up.

Saw her story in an another video long time ago. Today I came accross this video only to know that she is no more.

There is a reason why animals in the zoo are kept behind bars, it's not to protect us from them but it is to protect them from us. Rip Kalia. You were beautiful ape with a kind, soft & caring heart. I hope you don't come back to this hell hole. Neither this world nor us humans deserve you. You will always be in our hearts. ♥️

I don't know about jail for life, but in the usa, animal cruelty will give you up to 7 years in federal prison. Killing a protected species 1 year and up to $50,000 fine.

i saw her the first time a while ago, so sad the kid got bitten by a wild animal....But he bully kalia, if my kids is mean to animal and get bit, i will say to them, you made this you'r own fault, its not the animals fault. she was friend with everyone in the village. its so sad, she was a part of the village on her on terms as it should be and se took care and groomed..The dad was son got bit need to get the fuck out of the village....

Parents should've taught the kid to respect wildlife and animals... 😞

Very different perspective of wildlife, great documentary👏🙏🙌

When you think of it, primates bite to discipline. Species who live in troops have Elder primates who are not related and are higher ranking who can discipline babies and juveniles who are misbehaving or to teach them what to do and not to do. Considering some of the more violent ways I’ve heard young primates being disciplined, Kalia was being nice when she bit the boy, she probably trying to teach to not do that again to her or to someone else.😔

I cried watching this 😭 I wanted to find an update on her but not this

Beautiful animal who gave so much love and happiness to those around her, what a sad ending.

They may escape human punishment but they cannot evade the laws of Karma. Life will inevitably deal the hand that delivers it. Still... I'm once again terribly disappointed in humankind. Who would possibly want to live forever in such a world?

I can understand that as a parent you would be upset if any animal bites your child, but at the same time knowing that your child also previously hurt the animal on purpose the correct thing to do would have been to educate your child that you must never hurt and any animals but to also take great care and pride to protect an endangered species. If the child would have been taught better, and it doesn't appear the child has good role model either. Yes if someone or something hurts an animal more times than not that animal will remember. It's sad story all around because she should have had a mate and be living in forest trees. I pray poaching is stopped and harsh punishment comes to those that are caught poaching and harming,killing these and other animals, people don't stop to consider what about when they are hunted and poached to extinction? Then what? We have already lost many breeds of animals and very very close to losing many more. China is a huge, regardless of what you have been told it is full of difference, they certainly don’t, in the main, eat monkeys! Also I really don’t understand why people find it ok to eat cows and pigs and all types of other animals and birds and fish, and not other types of animals?
