I listen to this song to motivate me to keep going. It just gets to hard, and the lyrics "nothing good every comes easy i know times are rough. but winners don't quit, so don't you give up" and "so if you need a hero, just look in the mirror. no one's gonna save you now, so you better save yourself" just hit so hard bc my future depends on me and I need to keep going. I'm currently a sophomore in college and i go to school online. despite that it's still so hard to do any work. I just have to push through to succeed to the finish line.

Through my alcoholism, my girl always stayed. She would put her makeup on while this was playing. While I would be stuck in bed hung over. Trying to gather myself to get ready as well. Sometimes she would look so dead in the mirror. I would ask "what's wrong. We got the whole day ahead of us". But she always knew what the day was going to be like with me. I'm not saying to fix your man or stay until he blooms. I'm just grateful for her sticking by my side. I can't change the bad memories I made. But being sober today has made many good new ones.
