I LOVE that transition to the other hand; something real-world that most instructors don't believe in.

I like the video. QUESTION: I’m not coordinated enough to catch and grip the attackers arm with my hand. Are there techniques used if a closed fist” reactionary forearm block” is used instead of a catch and grip? Thanks!

I don't think there's a substitute that can be learned immediately without thinking You have to practice, there for if you're not coordinated now you practice over and over till it becomes instinct Not a kali practitioner though 😂 just a thought

*Question:* Can knives be used as weapons for self defense or are they *STRICTLY* tools and should be never used for the previous intention!? I would love to hear the opinions of the internet ...

Can dogs be used for herding sheep? I would love to hear the opinions of the internet. Also, are breasts soft?

I would say yes. If I stand in the ready position with my knife, but don't move to attack, then I'm in defense mode. If anyone attacks me they must enter my strike zone. It's their choice to come close enough to me, I will simply cut any part of them that they allow to be close enough. At any time they can back off and be totally safe as they are no threat to me. Kind of like a hedgehog...

A knife is a tool, a tool meant to cut so if the thing you are cutting is a person in and you are defending yourself then it becomes a weapon, but if you use a knife to open letters and cut boxes then it is a tool. Everything in life has more than one use, the thing is to see what and how you use those items.

Why would you pull your knife hand back at 0:50? That makes no sense.
