this is a masterpiece. you have to watch it multiple times to catch all the little attentions to detail. the tension in the build-up to the elevator scene is palpable

Yes, that is true. Very much true, sadly. We have got a "point of no return" that if pushed too much, or gets broken, it can change our minds completely. Call me crazy but I feel sorry for the Joker here, he got pushed too many times. The community destroyed him, his illness made the things only worse and his mother... well... nothing good can come out if a grown up guy lives with his mother - I know something about it, 34 years old, divorced, my parents live with me - and sometimes I just feel that I am on the edge, that a small spark could ignite/awake a different person in me. Pretty shitty times in which we have to live now.

@Viper Hareous its one either you love or hate. i thought it was garbage, it was so predicable and boring. + the ending was dumb AF. dark knight joker was cunning and terrifying, while this joker was just special needs.

3.45 the beat starts getting wavy. The perfect editing to the song to. True genius ;) respect from 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Before he became the evil joker he was just a normal regular Young Man who needed love and happiness as we all do....he's just human....so when the world slapped him down for the umpteenth time he punched them right back and won....good for him

The fluctuating bassline, with the crisp oriental string instrument, everything ties together so beautifully. Its serene. Its beautiful

I guess it’s all how you view it, the way I see it, his breaking point came at the mid point of the track, you can almost feel him transform in the breakdown, then take on, accept and become a happy, mad man during the crescendo of the tune. This works because the tune is almost kind of hauntingly jazzy.

Watching this video, i was thinking: "What if "Joker" was produced in the late 80's, directed by William Friendkin, with a Tangerine Dream score?" I had not planned to watch 'Joker' but it happens to be a good movie. Excellent job for the video and great score... ^^

'Joker' was by far the best movie I've watched in YEARS.

I remember listening to a KALAX song waaay back, KALAX really got me into Synth, Kalax

I'm not a fan of the usual marvel superhero "braindead blockbuster" stuff... but this was different...a more true to real life/reality and mental health/suicidal struggles ...I know it's about a fictional mythical character but it still embodied real life stuff so well which is why Joaquin Phoenix 100% deserved to win that oscar

Let me be clear. This is track of the year.

"You don’t get over it, you get through it. It doesn’t get better, it gets different. Everyday just like me, grief puts on a new face..." This music should be in the Joker movie without any doubt. It gives the movie a much, much darker feeling, almost nostalgic, melancholic, it allows to look at it from a completely different perspective. I am shocked, really, music (good one) can change the movie in a drastic way. I knew Joker was a depressing and touching movie, but now... with Kalax and Shibuya Lights, it simply destroys my mind. Still not sure if it is good or bad, but with this song and the clips from the movie, I am starting to feel what the Joker felt... :( The whole Covid lockdown situation does not make the situation easier, not... at... all...
