When I run, I always run in the forests. Often I run outside this building called Gildehallen (in 2013, the Gildehallen opened, a free reconstruction of a chieftain's hall) near Borre in Horten. It's a lovely place. This beautiful music fits perfectly.
That was beautiful. Drifted away with that one. Definitely some more Kalandra
Yay, more Kalandra! Highly recomend getting it on vinyl. I bought myself a copy on vinyl as soon as it dropped. The whole album is beautiful.
Katrine's Voice is very ethereal. Some of it sounds very similar in tone to Aurora(so excellent).

Yes, I also think so. I'm a big Aurora fan and I have to admit, sometimes Katrine sounds pretty similar to Aurora... although Aurora's general voice pitch is a bit higher.
You guys are spoiling us with all this Kalandra! What a nice way to start the day. This whole concert was great. I hope they release more tracks from it. More please. :)
Can someone from Norway please adopt me? They have the most awesome singers/bands. Amazing.
Wow! Absolutely extraordinary band! My new favorite and I agree with your comments. I only discovered this talented band in 2020 when we were on lockdown. Her voice is so haunting, yet angelic at the same time. LOVE LOVE the arrangements; it all fits together so flawlessly!
The drummer is sporting some elf ears if you really need confirmation of it being magical.
Wonderful reaction. I also recommend giving the music video a watch, it’s made by the same company that filmed their “Borders” and “The Waiting Game” music videos. :) “The idea is to draw a picture of the conflict between where you are and where you feel you should be. At the same time, the music video points to the individual in the face of major global challenges. Challenges so abstract that one would rather drown in distractions than take them in, says Kalandra about the video.”

P.S. Same show and place, yes. The lyrics... Got a million things to distract my mind There’s a million ways I could spend my time Keeping me from who I need to be Distracting me from what I need to do... I dive into an infinite ocean It makes me devoid of all emotion I am running in slow-motion I am running in slow-motion Forever Got a single plan for this life of mine But there’s a million failures awaiting trial Guide my feet so they can touch the ground Ignore the noise, till it won’t make a sound I dive into an infinite ocean It makes me devoid of all emotion I am running in slow-motion I am running in slow-motion Forever I am running in slow-motion I am running in slow-motion Forever...
This was from a live summer solstice celebration from last year, it was an awesome experience to welcome the sun with Kalandra and so many people, I am hoping they may do another live stream this year ❤ Edit: I love the artwork behind you, did one of you do it?

Thank you! No. This painting was a gift 😊 - G
Greetings from Norway. I wonder if Mike like that guitar sound, maybe he liked Killing Joke during the 80's. They have that guitar sound on many of their songs. Adorations being my favorite. It came out when i was in my prime teen. :)
Wow, what a beautiful song... so amtospheric... I love the vocals very much. This was a great find here on youtube, thanks to your channel. All the best and Happy Easter ! Cheers from Germany : Gerry
❤️❤️❤️
Supercool atmosphere with those guitars and that voice on top, and a very exciting buildup of the song, too.Very nice. And Mike, I am going for that vinyl, too. And you two, thx for that great reaction, and if you ever come to Norway, Gildehallen is a great tourist attraction. Love from Norway.
You should listen to their cover of Wardruna's Helvegen.

We did that one! Loved it - G
what about her boice doig this weird this at "I am doing in slow motion" I canJUST BARELY recreate it with my crusty undeveloped 30yo voice and seem to get the hang of it pretty quickly, but its not often used in music, why? sounds so unique and builds up the tensions sooo much
Vinyl doesn't sound as good as CD but (in terms of pure clinical accuracy and longevity) … Vinyl is more of an occasion to listen too … I have the CD and the Vinyl for 'The Line'. I loved the CD so much I had to have the Vinyl as well.
They got two Great cover u got to Check out! Try the cover of Grizzlyman of Rocketofthesky and cover of Hellvegen by Wardruna.
