@@AmazingRibs Ok, so part 2 is the written review only? Not on KZread? The KZread video says “Part 1”. Typically that means there is another video.

For that prize I'd just go a bit higher and get a Komodo Kamado 32 Big Bad.

@@AmazingRibs I've been looking at reviews for KK's for the last month. I want one so bad. The 32 would be the practical choice, but then I'd always feel like "what if I'd gotten the 42?" 😭

@@praetorxyn Yeah. This is like computers and TVs. You can never have too much RAM, and there is no such thing as too big a screen. If you are going to spring for a Komodo Kamado, you might as well get the big one. You will want to have 2 zones.

Building quality is outstanding, like any Kalamazoo product, but.... Where's the Ash tray, where's the rotisserie, where the pizza stone or the heat deflector, where could I plug the guru, or where would the temp cable be able to pass..... I'm disappointed at Kalamazoo take on Kamado... Certainly a lot to improve on....

Gee wiz. I don't think you paid much attention to this video which shows the ash tray at the outset, and I suspect you didn't click on the link above to read my review: tinyurl.com/ydotffj2 You seem to be comparing Shokunin to Kamado Joe models that include many extras that are optional with other brands? Shokunin is different from other kamados. The rectangular shape and dual corresponding intake and exhaust dampers, coupled with the adjustable height charcoal grates appear to enable enhanced 2-zone separation. We're still gathering info on this product which is scheduled to roll out at the beginning of 2020. As of now, we have a very favorable impression of Shokunin. BTW, meat temp probes can safely run under lid which seals with thick, braided insulation.

Kalamazoo makes some of the most expensive outdoor kitchen equipment money can buy. And, as you can see, you need a lot of money. Their products are excellent, but like Ferraris, they ain't for everyone.

@@AmazingRibs May look nice and do the job, but it's basically a marketing-hyped, overpriced double layered stainless steel box with a lid and stylish grates. A Summit Kamado from Weber - among many others - can do the same. And yes, these are status symbol toys for men that have too much money and want to impress other trendy type superficial dudes. My grandparents (may they RIP and Heaven) have grown their own biological real food and cooked some of the healthiest and tastiest meals ever without any fancy gadgets on a simple round steel griddle plate or in pots over fire pits. Speaking of a Ferrari, my cargo bike is way more reasonable, practical and useful than that boasted ego macho vehicle. But to each their own. If i had too much money to burn, i'd instead get a Komodo Kamadao, the real deal.
