"my tush" lol you're too cute
the yarn that you chose for your hats is so beautiful! the first skein that you showed is especially nice. definitely get some more of the third skein for a sweater! countdown to ireland!
Oh my goodness those Emily Henry inspired book colors would make a great blanket. I’m considering the prism with an advent!

Advent colors would also be perfect for the prism! There’s so many good options, but I’m really excited for the Emily Henry colors :)
I ordered a ‘girl knitting on the whale’ project bag as soon as you shared it! It’s so cool and unique and perfect for us So Cal knitters! 🌊🐳☀️

Nice! Love that! It’s so cute!
I looooove both of the colours of your Ireland sweaters 😍 that green! And as for a hat pattern where you only need one skein I recommend checking out the Light as a Feather Beanie by Songbird Handmade ☺️
Ohh I love the Spur hat pattern! It’ll look great in that yarn. I’ve also knit Petite Knit’s Hipster Hat with one skein of fingering held double. I had just enough but it worked! I made sure to start the decreases when I had about 20-22g left. 😊

Good to know about the Hipster Hat! Thanks Sarah!
I like the fancy buttons on the cardigan! They don’t feel too extra to me.
Love the cardigan ❤
I like those buttons on the cardigan. Before you said anything about them I thought perfect choice.

Thanks!
I totally get the feeling of "I have to" when I am knitting on something with a deadline, even if it is only in my head. I am trying to change that to the feeling of "I want this" and getting excited with the vision of how happy I will be when I can wear it! Your Dornie is so beautiful. I want to squeeze and squish all those cables!

That’s a great perspective and I’m definitely trying to shift to that also! The cables are looking reallyyyy good 😊
How is the hurricane weather?...hopefully not too bad ❤. I love how your cardigan worked out...I've added it to my favourites 😊

It wasn’t too bad, thanks for asking! We got a bit of heavy rain and wind at night but no damage.
Your podcast makes me want to finish my dornie sweater… I have 1/2 sleeve left…

Only half a sleeve left?! You’re so close! 🩷
I learned about Twice Sheared Sheep and row counters from you, and I need to take the time to say THANK YOU. I also got the wee repair needles with a crochet hook on one side and I LOVE them. I actually find them better to use with cables than cable needles or dpns.

Yay! I’m so glad you love the Twice Sheared Sheep tools!! I was using the repair hook the other day to fix one of my cables and it was perfect! 🩷
I am at the beginning of this lovely episode, and came to say I already learned a few new adjective degrees orangish, yellowish, yellowie...they don't teach those here in Portugal, and they are really happy, happy degrees...🥰...you're very captivating, so you'll be soon on the 30 000...now to see the rest...🥰

Thank you so much! Haha yes sometimes I make up words to help describe things… enjoy!
Leslie -- did you guys get hammered? I'm in Pasadena and the storm swerved right as it was coming up so we just caught the edge: heavy rain and enough wind to move the trees but not drop them. Half of us 'felt the quake' but I think they're lying --

It wasn’t too too bad for us! We got some heavy rain and wind, but no damage! I think the worst was the wind and rain hitting my bedroom windows while I was trying to sleep lol. The earthquake didn’t make it down to us, but my family in LA felt it!
Your Dornie is looking so good! Do you use cable stitch holders? I definitely want to see how you ladder down and fix things since I don’t know how to do that yet.

Yes! I use the Twice Sheared Sheep bamboo wood cable needle. I’ve tried to do cables without a cable needle and I just drop the stitches lol
Hope you're weathering the hurricane ok! Just commenting to say that it drives me CRAZY when I see people (yes mostly on reddit...) complaining about knitting youtubers having ads/sponsors! Like, it's free content my friend! Let them make money so they can keep making free content! One person said they didn't like when Knit-tubers have non-knitting-related ads but then also didn't like it when they talked about yarn that they got for free... make it make sense! Because it seems like they are offended by the idea of a KZreadr making money off of their videos and frankly that's a bad look. Get your sponsor/ad money girl!

Thank you! We made it thru the hurricane just fine! And omg yes I totally agree with you! They just want a perfectly filmed and edited video with perfect video, audio, lighting etc with fancy yarns and projects…all for free… when that all costs so much money and time for people to make! If I’m going to put in the work, I’d like to get something in return for it! LOL! Thanks for your perspective 🩷
How are those row counters used? Could you do a demo? TIA

I’ll add a tutorial video to my list! Basically, there are rings that sit on your knitting needles in between each numbered bead, and they help you remember which row you are currently on. There is also a removable marker that you can use to mark the “tens digit” of the row you are on. I basically can’t work on a project now without one!
you do know you can ship your yarn to yourself ( your adres ) and i would be much better than vacum bags

But it would cost a lot more money
