Growing up in the middle of nowhere, nobody around me was really into playing card games. I really wanted to get into Duel Masters when I saw the show but never learned and missed out. When Kaijudo was announced, I had graduated high school, moved out and was surrounded by new friends who did nothing but play card games. 3 of them had told me about Kaijudo and we drove all over that day hitting up every store we could find to stock up on the launch decks. I quit yugioh for the most part and made Kaijudo my main game. Around set 10 I believe it was, they introduced rotation and my LWF Dragon deck was no longer playable after finally completing it. Feeling absolutely defeated, I sold of my collection for a little over $200 after dropping easily over $1200 on the game with all of the boxes I had bought. Shortly after that, in the same year, it was ended. About 2 years after that, I hit up the friend I had sold my collection to, who had continued to play and topped many events, and asked if he still had any cards. He said yes and I threw him an offer of like $175 and he gave me almost all of his cards. But they were like boxes and boxes of promos, autographed cards, the special Terror Pit you only got by going to the final Kaijudo Champs before it died, the high end super rares that every chased in every box. Now im sitting on a gold mine for Kaijudo collectors and have about 30ish decks built and have even taught my daughter how to play and it is her favorite thing to do together. I'm really sad I didn't get to have all of the Duel Masters memories my friends had but now we still play Kaijudo to this day and even hold tournaments where people can borrow my decks of they want to play. Im even trying to find the time to upload more of my deck profiles to my channel. Tldr: Kaijudo is my favorite card game of all time and I'm so sad that Duel Masters had to die twice.

ugh god when this was still duel masters, i was kinda insane for this game. i had so many SO many cards, a giant bolshack dragon toy, it was wild. honestly, i wonder if shobu being a red player is why i play mtg red so much lmao

I played Duel Masters as a kid, i bought some action figures. I still think is a simple but good card game, with a good comeback mechanic. Their designs (at least in thier first years) were awesome and I still miss it, I still want to adquire as most Duel master cards possible. I never knew kaijudo was their rebirth, so i didnt play it.

i also didnt know Kaijudo was its rebirth until a friend told me. i assme duel masters cards are easy to get but i genuinely havent looked
