A unique situation!
Aircraft push-back from the gate at OGG, engines start, taxi to the active runway and takeoff was recorded with nearly no sounds from passengers or crew. Just Airbus A330 sounds! No babies crying, no airline music, no crew safety briefings just airplane sounds! The reason? Passengers and cabin crew waited on board the aircraft for over 45 minutes for our pilots who were delayed in Honolulu on their flight to Maui. Passengers were settled, crew safety briefings complete, babies asleep and quiet, etc. Very unique with it that quiet in the cabin to only hear Airbus A330 sounds, making this recording unlike others I've done.
When we arrived at LAX we were delayed getting a gate as we were late by about an hour. This put the aircraft at the furthest point from ground transportation at Terminal B. An incredible distance to walk - all recorded but sped up 4x in this video.
The gate we were waiting for was occupied by Hawaiian Airlines' newly acquired and only Boeing 787! The video shows the 787 taxiing on taxiway N2 to P west of Terminal B.
