I was still in Mumbai when he passed away. My mom called me all the way from back home Sikkim to tell me " Son. Your singer has passed away." Such was I into his songs. Great great voice. The ghazal fraternity will always miss his voice. 2018 and still listening to his songs.

I am new to his songs but still better than those of todays.

Those evenings when mom dad were out for work and me with my sister watching this song in Doordarshan munching on our favourite snacks. Miss those days .

Listening to Jagjit Singh instantly transports me to state of calm and peace. Mind and body relaxed totally. What a voice ... there is no replacement for this voice.

Back then, people used to create for the sake of art, for passion. Just look at this video. The sceneries, the screenplay, even the camera movement is adjusted with the up and down beats of the music. Also, the expressions of the artists were so striking, cannot be found these days after finishing whole movie. That's the reason, even if you come to this video after watching all those films, or new songs, still it never fails to amaze....
