I had no idea that there was a fourth part to this, so I honestly thought that things had ended at 4:16, and I actually felt really sad that that seemed to be the end for this fictional couple. You can imagine my surprise when I decided to look up the song tonight and found that there was not only more to the little story behind it, but that it had a happy ending! Fr! Was so happy and surprised to hear the ending 😌

I really love him admitting it's his fault and that he doesn't want to forgive himself for what he did. It's also really impressive because if I remember correctly, Kaden never intended on making a reprise (twice lol, being the second and third verse). So he made them and then made a full song, without even knowing that he would eventually make a full song. And you know what else? The first two verses kinda show the guy's personality and how he is (or should be?) someone to fear. He's kinda cynical and pessimistic. It doesn't seem like he wants to be worked on at first. Then the fourth verse comes around and it's just sweet. Sadly, I wasn't able to actually see Kaden do the release of the full song on his tiktok cause it hasn't been working for months- but I'm glad, this turned out amazing. ❤

I love how in the first "Lovers" portion of the song it's slightly immature and childish, like a kid confessing their love to another kid after kicking down their sand castle for years. In the last "Lovers" portion the love is more mature with using the word "love" while also having it genuine vulnerability. It really shows a change in the relationship and characters.

To me it was like the main character was afraid of being abandoned or being pushed away and had self esteem issues so he decided to push them away instead so he could feel more in control and he didn't want to get closer to the other character because he didn't want to feel abandoned again. The other character was friendly, pen an expressive, contrary to the main character and the main character could not resist. He started trying to point out every single flaw and tried to hate them as much as he could, ultimately failing either way, as they've both gotten closer and the main character started accepting the fact that he liked them, but was still not entirely open and expressive about it. The other character thought it was cute. As time went on and they got closer, they also eventually had a fight. The main character felt like he was getting too close, for his own good, so he backed away as a "strategic retreat". He also thought he didn't deserve any of that love. But it hurt, a lot, being away from his crush. He missed them. Eventually as time passed, and they didn't interact with each other for quite some time, the other character tried getting closer to him again. They had another arguement, and the main character didn't understand why the other one cared so much, he thought he didnt deserve it. But then the other character expressed their love for him. The main character was slowly realizing that his self worth was not as bad as he thought,especially if they cared about him. So now they're a couple, sometimes bickering but ultimately the main character stopped hating himself as much as he did before and started getting more open, but they still joked about each other having a "stupid face"

How TF did you literally describe the fanfiction I've been wrighting???? Like, this is almost the plot lines and peps completely. The main character = TFP Starscream: kinda cowardly, trust issues, abonnement issues, hates himself and most others, loud, annoyed 90% of the time, and abused by his leader making him leave the Decepticons and becoming a rouge. Love interest = My Oc Ursula (cybertroian. NOT a human.): chaotic, a cat person, scarred up, has had a pretty crappy life but still keeps a smile, depressed, a real nice person, and crafty.

I remember when I found Kaden MacKay through the song “Passing Through”. Dude quite literally made my day with that one song and every time he sings in one them it just sounds like it’s all so genuine which makes it even better

Man this song made me scared and cry. Like how it made a genuine story with only knowing one side of it but I’m scared of it not working out with the two. We never here the other person so we can only guess what they are thinking or saying like the guy. This is a true story of enemies to lovers in a good way. I love how a story can be told in 6 minutes while books take hours just to get to the point.

This is just literally me and my husband during Highschool. My French teacher placed me with him to help me teach him and he basically acted like the guy in this song. But I am definitely an annoying one for sure so poked back at him a lot. Like purposely annoying but also being friendly almost out of spite to him trying to be aloof/cynical. Then he suddenly realized he came to like me, almost exactly like the guy in this song. And yep went through all this, and I sent him this song. Low-key imagining a sweet young person who accidentally summons a demon or ghost or some other supernatural creature and this song is about the creature coming to terms with loving their summoner, who really didn't mean for all of this to happen in the first place, but still absolutely adores the singer despite their crassness Edit: The part where the song slows down and they're singing about missing their partner is actually a part where the singer lashes out at their partner on accident and hurts them somehow (physically or emotionally)
