Kabutongan Falls - Dare to Jump 30 FEET for a Hidden Cave? | What to do in Cebu | Cebu Travel Guide

Looking for an alternative to the crowded canyoneering at Kawasan Falls? Hidden in the jungles of southern Cebu, Kabutongan Falls has an incredible jump over 9 metres and a small cave behind waiting to be discovered for those willing to take the plunge. Check out my travel guide on the Kabutongan Falls and come say hello to Brownie the guide dog!
Kabutongan Falls
Location: goo.gl/maps/nzqAreuUMCvite25A
Travel time: 1.5 hours by scooter from Oslob (you can also reach here from Moalboal in around the same time)
How long to spend: ~ 2 hours
Entrance fee: 100 pesos entrance fee + 20 pesos for parking. Guides are not required for the first two levels, which aren’t very good and not worth making the journey for. Fees are officially 300 pesos per person, but negotiable as I got it down to 200 pesos. If you have a larger group then it’ll be easier to negotiate down even further.
Even though nobody was actually checking beyond level 2 to make sure you have a guide, I recommend hiring one because they know where it’s safe to jump or climb and it’s always good to have a personal photographer!
When it comes to Cebu, most people think of canyoneering at Kawasan Falls or swimming with whale sharks in Oslob. However, there are many stunningly beautiful waterfalls hidden around the island and the best part of them is how little tourists there are! Check out my playlist on the awesome and off the beaten path waterfalls on Cebu Island!
