    Nice! I've just been using two needle nosed vice grips to hold the j-cups at the angle where a bow bar stays upright. It works, but looks totally hack compared to this.

    That would work as well. The wedges are easy enough to make. Most Dior wedges are at a 10degree angle so that don’t work as well.

    Excellent idea and explanation video!! I was just looking at Ghost Strong at the J-Cups ($340 plus shipping) and the Duffalo Blocks ($125 plus shipping), and this came as a super pleasant surprise. The J-Cups (roller cups) would be a nice upgrade by themselves, but the price is steep, and I know if I bought those I'd have to spring for the blocks, also. I'm just getting back into lifting after an extended layoff due to some health issues, and with 68 year old broken and battered shoulders, I'm sure I'll have to dust off the Duffalo Bar, at least for a while, in order to get positioned correctly without issues. Thanks so much for the time and effort to help others!!

    Thank you for watching and for the kind words. Here’s to your recovery. I feel you on the shoulders and additionally feel you at the wallet. There are some 3D printer folks that are printing those duffalo bar blocks for the Titan fitness roller J Cup. I’m currently testing two sets that are absolutely awesome.

    @@TheKurtlocker I appreciate that. I'm pretty cheap, but I'm also a sucker for quality, obviously, or I wouldn't have a Duffalo bar. Still, your solution fills the immediate need nicely and saves a TON of money, which is always appreciated. I look forward to your thoughts on the 3D blocks for the Titan rollers. How do you like the Titans, btw?

  • @TheKurtlocker

    @TheKurtlocker

    That depends on the size of the magnet. If I recall these were 1.25” diameter magnets with a 1.5” hole

    Quick question if you had to pick between the clear zinc, and the black oxide for the coating on the duffalo bar which would you choose for longevity?

  • @TheKurtlocker

    @TheKurtlocker

    2 жыл бұрын

    Clear zinc. Black oxide is technically not a coating, it is a form of controlled oxidation.

    Wouldn’t it be easier to insert something such as one of those orange pins in the hole directly below the j-cup that would keep it angled and prevent it from going back to a straight position?

    @@TheKurtlocker haha it wasn’t meant to sound like that, I was just relaying an idea. Shouldn’t have to do either, it’s a major design fault and the bar should come with some sort of rubber inserts to make it square in a rack. I’m a 500lb squatter, and every time I see the j cups at those angles never fails to make feel I am about to die.

  • @TheLotek1
