Such an incredibly beautiful song with such deep words of love and passion yet so pure and honourable. Such poetry and love stories no longer exist in our movies.

The version used in the movie Kabhi Kabhie used simpler words. This music for this song was composed by Khayyam and sung by Mukesh

@@shaileshchowdhury4063 One of his teacher was a Haryanvi - Sahir Ludhianvi, who passed on October 25, 1980 , was born in 1921 in Ludhiana, Punjab. His real name was Abdul Hai Fazl Mohammad. His father Chaudhary Fazl Mohammad was a wealthy landowner of Sikhewal and belonged to the Gujjar community. When he was barely six months old, his parents separated and his mother Sardar Begum left the house, taking baby Abdul along with her. He became interested in poetry, both reading and writing it from an early age. Under the guidance of Maulana Faiz Haryanvi, he studied Urdu and Persian and soon became proficient in these languages. In one of Iqbal’s couplets, he came across the word sahir which means enchanter or magician and took it as his pen name.

I'm from South where Hindi was not spoken or taught much..I used to listen this whenever they played in radio and TV. though I didn't know meaning I used to admire for the music and sole in the song... Not sure who gave this dislikes (14k dislikes) for this song... may be some fake visitors of you tube.
