K5 Blazer brought back from the dead

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

On this episode we update everyone on the K5 Blazer. My buddy Brandon Wise started building this 1985 Blazer that will be his son's first vehicle. Its powered by a 2001 5.3 liter LS engine backed by a 4l80e transmission. It's sitting on a set of 35" tires and 15" Centerline wheels. It has a 73/74 front clip swapped on it. Thanks for watching.

HAHA Props to you for not editing that out of the video. We have all done things like that and felt pretty stupid. At east it was an easy fix 👍

The first car I ever owned was a 1987 BMW 325e that my dad and I spent every weekend putting back together for 3 months. I got to drive it for my senior year of high school, and I now have a special love for all BMWs. Now that I’m in college I had to sell that car, and I know the feeling of getting your first project to start up for the first time. This is a special project, and I love to see the enthusiasm you all share for it. Good luck, have fun!

Coming along nicely! But that'll make a better 2nd vehicle, not a 1st car. First cars get wrecked, rolled or destroyed. :)

My brother had a 76 Jimmy that was blue over white top before he passed away. My mom drove it for a while but it started having problems. Truck had a 400 in it and the mechanic swindled her, told her it needed a new motor, pulled the 400 and stuck a junkyard 350 in it. The truck never ran well after that and before I was old enough to know better she sold it off for 1500 bucks. I’d kill to have that truck back.

Must of been sum good snuff y'all boys were Dippin that day, and I wasn't aware that Copenhagen caused short term memory loss. Maybe explains why I can have sumthin in my hands one minute, and few minutes later I've lost whatever it was never to see it again. That's very nice color, reminds me of my 74 Cheyenne that was blue with white insert between the trim on each side. Miss that ole truck, but then I miss all my old trucks. Y'all fellas take it easy on that dip during the heat of the day. 😂😂

I’d like to know what headers those are. There’s plenty of long tube options for the 2wd trucks, but LS swapping these 4x4s with long tubes seem to be trial and error with many headers or using really expensive ones advertised to fit this application.

8:20 you will NEVER get an LS to start with that low battery. The ecu requires at least 10 volts (9.somethinh call it 10) for the ecu to even gire off. If an LS is cranking slow not starting it never will so no reason to keep trying. Learned that one in like 99 or 00...
