@@lucabellantoni5350 unfortunately not. The cables will only bolt properly to either one side. So either the K swap box and K24z7 cables will bolt up and the tranny side won’t, or the tranny side will bolt up and the K swap box side won’t.

I say your video and I was wondering can a civic 8th gen cable work with a TSX type-S selector mechanism?

Osric, you have a fantastic product and a great depth of knowledge. I plan on picking up this bracket from you as time progresses. What i wanted to know is, i have this K24Z7 trans that i will be pairing with a JDM K24A. Am I strictly limited to the 04-08 TSX cables and shifter box? Or would I be able to use the 03-07 Accord OEM Box 54100-SDA-A01? I ask because the TSX box is discontinued.

You can actually use either of those boxes. They both achieve the same result.

Honestly, I would just recommend getting the internals swapped over into the RSX casing. The rear mount will not bolt up and the only solution for the shifter cables is to purchase the K-Tuned Bracket for the Race Spec Cables and you have to swap out the shifter mechanism for the Type S one. And still find a solution for the rear mount/bracket situation

I have a 2000 civic with a k20z3 and a k24z7 transmission with rsx shifter cables and I have an rsx shifter box and k24z7 shifter box with the stock selector

Hey man so my question here is. Are the shifter forks for the k24z7 transmission comparable to the RSX/Ep3 5/6 speed considering that the gear selector for them works in the k24z7 transmission. There for being different from what a TSX/Accord shifter forks are.

All 6spd shift forks are pretty much the same and interchangeable. The shift mechanism for the Tsx and the 06+ Civic Si are almost identical. The forks still function the same way internally between all the K series transmissions 5 or 6spd.

does the k24z7 work with the ekk2 mounts in? or is it still not compatible at the moment

No. You would need the EKK5 mount kit The EKK5 mount kit works with the 08-13 Accord, 09-14 TSX and 12-15 Civic Si manual transmission

Unfortunately, no. The configuration of the shifter cables for that year transmission is different and not compatible.

It’s really interesting, because I have the K20Z4 (European version of the K20Z3) swapped into my EK chassis. I used the K-tuned TSX shifter (KTD-TSX-AC2) with the K-tuned Civic SI shifter cables (SFT-CAB-611) on the OEM gearbox bracket and it almost works, but not quite. The gearbox side cable behind the bracket is just 5-10 mm short of movement to fully go into third gear. When the engine is not running it seems to go in, but when running it pops out. Could you confirm that this is the reason why you use the bracket setup as shown in this movie? Also, the bracket that you use, is not compatible with some of the shifter cables, because that bracket has a different way of mounting.

Your problem seems to be that you’re mixing Tsx and Civic Si Parts that are basically OEM replacement and since the cables don’t have any adjustment capability, things will be a little off. You can either use Race Spec cables that will adjust, or change the setup so that the shifter box and cables are for the same transmission style and it will work properly. My bracket was designed to bridge a gap between this transmission and different chassis options

Euro friend here! I’m using a k20z4 trans in my k24 swapped eg, currently running the hybrid racing k20z3 no cut shifter mated with fn2 cables but i dont like it. From the video the bracket Made by Osric looks like it has the same bolt pattern of our k20z4 cables bracket so using it with the old k tuned tsx cable bracket should work.

@@danjko888 when i reached out to them last year they were not sure if the fn2 or fd2 cables would work. Now i’m waiting for parts using the bracket in the video mated with stock tsx/accord shifter and cables.

So this transmission will work with 04-08 TSX engine and chassis?

No. It will not work with the Tsx chassis for those years. The driver side mount will not match up.

@@tongtyyang yes you absolutely can. However be advised…… Your Cruise control will only work in like 3 years. 2 3 5 if I’m not mistaken. Certainly not 6th. The ratio is too far away from the OEM TSX 6th gear ratio and the RPM/Speed being put out won’t match what’s registered in the ECU for those gears since the ratios are different. If they are close close, it will work. But when it’s too far apart, nope

You would need a specific bracket from Hasport that they sell for the 04-08 TSX / 03-07 Accord Transmission, then you will need to change the shifter mechanism to the Rsx one and utilize a special K-Tuned Bracket. Plan B is to change the entire shift box and cables to the Tsx/Accord style

@Osric Currey it's a 2011 civic si 8th gen. K24a engine. 04-05 I belive accord 5 speed trans. That got converted to a gear x 6 speed. 2011 stock shifter cables and shifter bracket. Only 1 out of 3 line up. 2011 civic si shift selector. But only 2 out of 4 bolts line up.

@@rickybobbybuilt6884 OK first things first that Transmission is going to need to change. You can either change the entire transmission or change the transmission case. You’re not going to get the accord transmission from that year to match up to the driver side mount in that chassis. Basically everything is correct for the chassis except for that transmission casing. There isn’t any bracket on the market currently for the accord/Tsx transmission to properly mount and work in your chassis. The 04 to 05 accord transmission is the same as a 2004 to 2008 TSX transmission in terms of the transmission case. Unless you plan on modifying a driver side mount and a transmission, shifter cable, Bracket, you were going to run into an issue trying to get things to match up.
