Hey Tommy that ktuned throttle body has issues with the spring tension. The car passion channel has an episode were he offsets the return spring hole to stiffin it up more so it doesn't get stuck. She looks super sweet! White is so beautiful on Hondas.

@@LATOMMYLA Same issue on skunt2 throttle body. Maybe the finishing of the throttle plate is not good. I tried to replace a higher stiffness spring of the throttle. The problem is solved. Maybe you can try it.

ktuned tbs are the worst I have the 80 on my rbc I had to pull the blade off and sand it it was doing the same thing as your like the gold finish was to thick to come to a complete close goodluck on it keep plucking away

that ground on the valve cover is in the wrong spot thats why you had issues with it. you cant have it on the vc itself because thats insulated from the block by the rubber gasket. that one is intended to be fixed to the stud just to the left of where you have it

TheOnly Lefty a lot of failed parts I’ve been coming across skunk2 quality starting to look cheap made and bad welds cracked headers and k tuned they’re cmc is one I see a lot crapping out on people but innocent till proven guilty on my expense I still respect both companies but they need to get back on the blueprint on some of they’re products

My experience: K tuned oem replacement shift cables - one of them broke on a 1-2 shift at the track, k tuned replaced them, rubber bellows deteriorated after less than 6 months. On par with OEM quality my ass. K tuned adjustable idler pulley - bearing in pulley went bad and made grinding noises after less than 5k miles. K tuned v2 thermostat housing, ditching the OEM dual plunger design and increasing the thermostat temperature causes the car to run at a far higher temperature than it should and causes overheating in traffic. K tuned 5-6 lockout, doesn't work right, in fact it makes a 3-2 shift even more likely because the aluminum shifter arm is poorly designed. This company is a total piece of shit.

Are engine swaps legal there? For instance, if you j swapped a 90s civic, and kept all the emissions junk for the smog test, you’d probably beat the factory emissions rating of the car. Do they allow this or do they care about it being factory more than anything else?

Loudness law is 95 dB or under, but that’s just exhaust note. To my understanding, you can legally swap an engine “as long” as that motor is offered in that model. That’s why I’m hoping it’s ok, civic to civic. But idk about generation to generation. You can’t put a b20 from a crv to a civic. Or a truck motor into a car. Plus it has to retain all smog equipment.
