I got my fingers crossed! That little thing is my "attainable dream" build, almost to the bolt. Man, it would be so cool to get that thing. My lease is up soon, too, so to be able to have that thing to zip around in to and from work for a bit would be the greatest ever. Best of luck if you entered!

This car would be sick to own. I've driven an FRS with some mods and a tune but even then it needed more power. Adding a little sprinkle of Honda reliability into the mix is just chef's kiss. Also, loving all the SRT-4s in the shop. I have one in Electric Blue and everyone says the same thing to me: "You don't see these around anymore." Good to see a shop taking care of the ones that are still driving.

You really don't see those around anymore, but the ones I do see are usually kept like a museum piece. I personally know of 4 ppl who blew one up in HS/College around 2010 so I knew even then the supply was dwindling fast

That ghetto log manifold is killing it..

Seems weird you didn't utilise the internal map sensor on the haltech 1500. There 3 bar stock and will read up to 26 or so psi. Also they have an input for a flex sensor so it could run on both fuels and adjust the tune to suit the ethanol content. Why not use the features the haltech has?

3 bar would be around 45 psi

@@Underpantsniper Yeah but MAP sensors tend to read absolute pressure, so they read around 14.7 psi at atmospheric pressure and will read up to around 30 psi of boost.

I've been watching you guys for a long time, since you only had the hatch. I'm disabled but when I was able I loved working on my multiple Honda's. I now have a mazda and a old pick up. I absolutely love all your videos keep it up and cant wait for the race truck.

Awesome! I have a similar setup in my colorado with a few more upgrades, but made 460rwhp on 60% E 17psi. K24 motor with k20 oil pump. Limiter at 7500rpm.

I figured wastgate would make 240ish. I’m glad it did. That’s a perfect daily driver pump gas tune.

Hey Kyle, look at the Haltech 1500 ECU. There is a connector for vacuum line beside the wiring harness plugs. The ECU actually has a Map sensor (3 Bar) built into the ecu itself. Your Tuner definitely should’ve known that and whoever installed the ecu probably noticed it too

I would suggest flex fuel sensor and a map for it and ecu can be locked if you want 🤭

You might need a fuel regulator, Evan’s tuning told me to put one on mine. Mine’s currently at Grannas Racing getting a t56 magnum

I thought the same but it probably feels more unsafe due to wheel spin, than a track car dialed in , only going straight down a track.

I'm not big on wanting give away cars or non v8 cars , but I was just telling my wife I'd love this frs built by you and wyatt or the f150 garret got on his channel ,,, both super dope vehicles

Can't you just run a vac line to the inbuilt map sensor on the haltech elite. From memory a 1500 has either a 2.5 or 3 bar inbuilt map sensor.

the brz transmission is a 5th gear 1:1, Dynoing 3rd makes it really difficult to properly compare to a FWD dynoing in 4th.

Remember u see that power on Honda drive trains and u have it mailed to the stock trans for the brz if I'm correct might be the gearing setup u have

Goes from 300.10 to 304.08 - 'only made 3 more horsepower'.. Now the third shift miss makes a lot more sense :D

Great vid, just a little fyi, gearboxes are rated for measured torque, not horsepower and this could be why some people are good at 600hp on some setups and not lasting on a torquey 300hp setup. Food for thought

That dyno graph looks kinda spikey. Maybe some sensors are fighting each other at the top end? It seems down to me too, as a casual observer.

I say it could be the exhaust manifold holding it back

@@garyhowe88 You are correct @idontwantopedal; BoostedBoiz; also the issue is the lack of increased power difference between normal unleaded fuel which contains ~15% ethanol and normal "E-85" from the local fuel station, which contains commonly 40% ethanol, sometimes up to 55%, and in summer, warm temperature months, some have 50-65% ethanol. The issue seems to be more with ignition timing, perhaps the fuel injector timing, duration, amount. Sincerely
