Recent Attack on Asraful Ahmed !!!!
The hunt to find the man, or his remains, dragged away by a tiger near the Corbett reserve in Uttarakhand’s Almora district last week continued Monday. According to news agency ANI, patrolling has been increased between the Mohaan and Garjiya areas and cages have been set up near the Kosi river. Till then, locals have been asked to not venture into the forests.
So far, the police have only recovered the remains of two hands, which were found in the forest near the river, ANI said quoting chief wildlife warden Samir Sinha.
A tiger attacked two men on a motorcycle at Mohaan, located on the fringes of the Corbett Tiger Reserve, on Saturday evening and dragged pillion rider Afsarul towards the river.
The other person escaped with minor injuries.
After the incident, Corbett staff and Ramnagar Police Station in-charge Arun Saini rushed to the spot along the large force and began a search to track down Afsarul.
Three forest department teams are searching and three JCB (heavy earth movers) machines are being used to clear a way through the dense forest. "Camera traps have been set up in the area. So far, the teams have not been able to locate the man or the tiger," Chandrashekhar Joshi, divisional forest officer of Ramnagar, said.

Back to back incidents are taking place in corbett and it reminds me of a famous movie named as "The ghost and the darkness" which is also based on the real book "the maneater of tsavo" by Colonel John Henry Patterson. Looks like this tiger or tigress is learning patterns how to access humans easily this one is smart he or she knows very well that in road bends people will slow down their vehicles.very informative videos great work from your channel. 👏

Yes back to back incidents are taking place in Corbett. The ghost & the darkness is one of my favorite films of all time. The legendary man-eaters of Tsavo. What a classic movie. 👌 Yes indeed this tiger/tigress has learnt the technique of bringing bikers down & then killing them. Horrifying things are happening in the jungles of Corbett.

Brother, it's a national highway. NH 309. Motorcyclists, cars, buses, and cyclists use the highway. Unfortunately, this incident happened. The forest department is trying its best to capture the animal. There are a lot of difficulties faced by the Department as it's raining thick lantana weed bushes in which the tiger can easily hide & cannot be spotted. Pugmarks get washed away so it's taking time to recover the victim's body. The department should be alert from the very first incident I agree with you. 🙏

Nicely explained. A very unfortunate incident and may Almighty accepts the eternal soul. To speak a little on what I have observed so far around Corbett is that people are very careless and don't respect it's privacy. I had three trips to Corbett between Dec-21 and Mar-22. I used the same Mohan route to go to KMVN, even during night, however upon asking the locals in Mohan, if there are tigers around the vicinity? and the answer was No. This means you can't just go with the words and have to be self-cautious and respectful while using a forest area. This incident is not unique but unfortunate. Keep going with these videos as these will sensitise people towards nature and it's rules. Great work!

Hi Mohit. Unfortunately, this has happened brother. Yes, you are right Mohit, despite the forest department putting warning signs on boards people still take things casually. Thank you for appreciating my work buddy. I promise to keep you all entertained. 🤗🙏

Very unfortunate incident. That area is quite secluded and riding at night was obviously not a good decision. Until the last couple of years, Tiger attacks on motorcyclists were unheard of. This new trend is certainly alarming. Forest department / local administration should educate and encourage two wheeler riders who transverse these forests daily to travel in groups as there is better safety in numbers. Ofcourse, riding at night should be strongly discouraged. Regularly clearing the bushes on both sides of the road also may help to an extent as all big cats use camouflage and an element of surprise to hunt. It may be a cheaper option than losing a priceless human life, facing an angry mob, compensations and eventual culling of the suspected Tiger. Thanks for your effort in bringing us so much information.

Bikers should not risk their lives. Cars provide you safety but accidents can happen with anyone whether he or she is in a car or on a bike. The forest officials should cut or trim the bushes so that the visibility to see things remains intact. My deepest condolences to the deceased & his family. May his soul RIP. Very well covered . I did read about this incident but you have narrated it well. I am a big big wildlife lover and crazy about Tigers in particular. Honestly I was there almost at the same place at the same time passing by . Luckily I was in car and not on a two wheeler. Though I did not face any encounter but when I read about this I was so thrilled. I always enjoy watching this majestic animal but I always pray that this experience comes at no such cost. We need to save the Tigers for sure but certainly not at the cost of Human lives . And yes I do watch your Vlogs regularly as I am also ultra crazy about wildlife and you make a really good content on that. Would be a pleasure to be in touch with you so that I can learn more from your experiences, Once again good job. Kudos to u !!

@@ONEMILEATATIME02 I have been to Corbett several times. And it's my favorite not just because of the highest number of Tigers it has but because of its beautiful dense forest. To me searching a Tiger in the dense forest excites me the most. And even if i don't see the one I still consider it worth since I just love that feel of a Jungle. This time I am planning to go either to Tadoba or Bandhavgarh. Have heard a lot about these two. Especially Tadoba because of some of its giants like Wagdoh (RIP) , Matkasur and all. Would be good if you can create some content on these national parks too. 🙂

Yeah people are living in constant fear of tigers & elephants. They do not have proper houses, no electricity no water supply. The villagers entirely depend on the forests for basic necessities. 🙏

This is a very clear indication that there was a mother with her cubs and mother was caught but cubs are at large and this incident seems to be an action of one of the cubs only. I wish there should not be more cubs who learned this from Mother Tiger and who are separating & establishing their territories near by. If this happens then the villages nearby Mohan & Dhangari are really at highest risk. It would not be surprising if we see another attack(on man or domestic animal) in a week in this section specially at night. Thats my view :) Thanks Dhruv bhai for bringing this up. You efforts in this direction is commendable, i know you are not there but still coming up and talking on it itself need dedication & efforts which you are doing so thanks again for it. Dhawal thank you again for writing such a beautiful comment. Yes, it's the cub who is behind Saturday's incident as I said in the vlog. The mother has taught him how to hunt & when the mother attacked the 2 bikers inside the park he was there with her. As of now, we are assuming that there is one cub & this guy is roaming between Mohan & Dhangarhi. Mohan & Chukam villages are on high alert. All the shopkeepers have been told to shut their shops before sunset & leave for their homes. I bet this tiger's size must be good as he is attacking bikes. Let's all pray for the safety of the villagers. Will keep you posted regarding the events. 🙏 love you too bro 🙏🤗

Hello Nupur. Ma'am, you are true to some extent that in Corbett most of the cases happen. Ma'am every forest has a caring capacity & once the numbers increase more than the numbers that can be managed in the park conflicts starts to happen. Tigers & leopards move out in search of territories & they come into contact with the people. Corbett has crossed its caring capacity this is one of the major reasons why so many cases have happened here. 🙏

So if the population of tigers raise.where they will take shelter. it's never possible that they begain to live in colonies ..

Now it is the same tiger that we are not sure about? According to him, the tiger jumped on his bonet & so he turned his car & the tiger fell. This is hard to believe because chalti gaadi ke bonet pe kaise koi tiger jump maardega. Anyways we are waiting for the DNA report to come out let's see what the report says regarding the attacks. 🙏

Well for the Tiger we all have gone through Jim Corbett’s incidents. Its my personal opinion that some strict actions must be taken on relocating villages or at least limit their population. Dhruv Bhai, sorry to say if you feel awkward about my opinion, I also visited Haldwani, Nainital, Ramgarh, and I interacted about the situation of Man - Animal conflicts with 1 of friend (he recently transferred to haldwani in Nainital Bank). He mentioned that generally 60-70% tiger - leopard victims are found to be the outsiders since localized of these areas are familiar about the timings of roaming. He told me that generally villagers & forest guards warn the outside bike riders and tourists about the ongoing path, but the urban citizens act as oversmart. As a result they become victim of this type of incidents. Brother apologize or correct me if I am wrong since my information is based on my friends's words.

Akshay bhai chill kya aap bhi formal bun rahe ho. But bro it's true the animals who are forced to move out of the forests because some other tiger or leopard drives them out because of his size & aggression venture out to places which are near civilization. When they start living there they automatically get into a conflicting situation with the villagers who come to the forest to collect fuelwood & grass. In core areas animals are not used to seeing people so they live peacefully but once they come out of the protected area then they see this new thing walking on 2 legs. Even they get curious. So you are right. About the timings, I would say the villagers often see animals roaming around their villages at a particular time so yea even that's right. 🤗🙏

Hello Dhruv. Firstly really appreciate your research - 100 out of 100. Awesome. Great as usual. Secondly, this is again a severe conservation issue-Human-Animal negative encounter. These tigers live in such proximity to humans that they are not afraid anymore. Villagers are right on their part; now, they might pressure the forest department and officials to kill the tiger. I am afraid this might invite hunters again and plan to kill it by finding the loopholes in the act. But tigers should be saved because they are animals and don't understand forest boundaries and the Indian legal act. It's their instinct. More big cat reserves like Sariska, Kunho, etc. should be identified to relocate and smartly distribute the growing population of our big cats. And yes, you are correct that the tiger should be identified after the first attack and should be sent to the zoo or other biological park.

Brother Corbett Tiger Reserve is spread over 1300sqkm. We have landscape forests & reserve forests adjoining the reserve. CTR has the maximum number of tigers out of all the tiger reserves in the country. Also, Corbett is home to 1000 Asiatic elephants. Since we know that elephants are migrating animals we cannot do fencing, even if we do elephants have the tendency to break them as they are quite powerful & they travel in herds. Corbett is connected to the Rajaji tiger reserve through these wildlife corridors. What we can do is we can provide electric fencing to the villages living in & around the park and also fodder for their cattle & firewood. Bio-Gas plants can be installed in villages so that people can use proper gas stoves & not go to the forest to collect firewood. 🙏
