I feel like there are doubles and triples throughout this song. First, hitting the spot is friends getting together at some gathering place, the club etc. Second, there's clearly innuendo around hitting the spot (up and down, round and round). Third, there's the whole freedom theme that both Jennie and Zico refer to, which speaks to her new freedom as soloist.

ZICO has been wanting to collaborate with BlackPink since 2016 and 1/4 of his wish came true! I personally enjoyed ZICO and Jennie more than her being in the the Idol song and Matt Champions song! @@komerican-og Yea you right, for the brand you gotta be careful to not rile up fanbases or it can hurt the brand dw, I watch enough reactors to know its necessary to be careful of the sensitive/parasocial fans. Though for this case I don't think its necessary cause BP fans have blamed YG for their lack of music and were happy they left their solo careers from YG. They seemed to be right considering Jennie has a album in a couple months, and multiple features that already came out this year, along with variety shows.
