Real ones understand K! Truth brings light it hurts now but when you see you will be free! I tell young women this! Never ever settle. I'm 48 and I can make my own plate. I refused to accept this at 18! Men know when women don't love themselves and didn't grow up with a dad and think he can give you what you didn't have growing up. It's not going to ever work!

I love you, K. Michelle, for writing songs about real situations we all go through! Music, like laughter, releases negative energy as well as relieves stress; thus, adds longevity. 👏🏽❤👏🏽

Verse 1] He got older but never grew For his life he can't tell the truth How to love he ain't got a clue Playing games like he'll never lose you Try to talk to him can't get through Every day he's a different dude These are the signs of a grown ass boy Better run for the hills I'm just trying to keep it real [Chorus] You can't raise a man He's already grown what you gonna do, you wonder why he Acts like a boy It's cause he wasn't raised right before you Girl, you ain't never gonna change nobody If he don't wanna, you can't make nobody Cause you can't raise a man BoyWithUke 'Understand' (Live Performance) | Open Mic [Verse 2] Coming home any time at night Expecting you to let it ride How many tears are you gonna cry? Playing games like he'll never lose you You know that the love is changed How many times he called you out your name? These are the signs of a grown ass boy Better run for the hills I'm just keeping it real [Chorus] You can't raise a man He's already grown what you gonna do, you wonder why he Acts like a boy It's cause he wasn't raised right before you Girl, you ain't never gonna change nobody If he don't wanna, you can't make nobody Cause you can't raise a man [Bridge] Gonna take more than a miracle To change him just let him go Tell me when will you decide To do better with your life? If his momma couldn't do it, what makes you think You can train a boy to be a man? It's too late Better off letting him go No matter how hard you try, you can't raise [Chorus] You can't raise a man He's already grown what you gonna do, you wonder why he Acts like a boy It's cause he wasn't raised right before you Girl, you ain't never gonna change nobody If he don't wanna, you can't make nobody Cause you can't raise a man

Then play I found Keisha by Dave East🤣🤣🤣😌
I love this song real talk she ain't never lie..😮😮😢😢 I learned to let go and found me a real man ❤❤❤😂😂
It is my favorite song I from Trinidad and Tobago🇹🇹❤❤❤❤❤
I had my son when I was 19... he's 13 now and he's SUCH A GENTLEMAN already! He's Got A Little Girlfriend (I think, I'm just being a nosey mama lol) but the level of respect he has for women and the way that he Carries himself as such a man! Makes me proud!❤... So I know I doing something right 🧘♀️and yet his father (Whom He Hasn't Seen In 4 Years! Of Failed Promises!) is the EPITOME of this song! 🤦♀️😔

These comments got me all teary eyed! I'm always wondering if I'm doing right by him and worried if he's missing out on something because I'm a single mom and he's a teenager growing into a young man and he's gonna be 14 in a few months (damn I feel old lol) he's already taller than me lol... but you guys kind words touched my heart! and he sees me crying and he's right there checking on his mama to make sure I'm Ok! I really lucked out! So I Thankyou...

I remember hearing this for the first time. I was in a toxic relationship and my mom had passed in 2012 and my relationship isolated me away from my family. I’ll be honest this song hit me hard but I didn’t listen. I left him years later after we lost our daughter. I gave my life back to God and went single on purpose initially for a year and continued for two more years. After healing and finding myself again… I was able to love someone without the pain from my past. It’s just crazy how revisiting a song is almost like transporting yourself back in time watching yourself go through that as if it was yesterday. That part of me died years ago but seeing that girl again makes me mourn for her failed hopes and dreams and the abuse her genuine love went through. ❤️ But the woman I am knows that killing that part of myself off was so that I can have what I have now. She was right… I just had to decide to do better with my life. Lots of wisdom in this song.

Raised by a single mother and grew into a great respectful man! Some folks just don’t know how to grow up and never will. I love this song because as a gay man I ran into a few grown ass men who act like boys and there isn’t any help for any of them!
