Once you've reached my age (which is more than the Joseon era lasted), all friends will be gone: either you've been too successful and they can't handle it, or you failed and they can't stand your whining. Either they succeded and you didn't, so they disdain you, or they got married, had kids and they no longer have time for you. Either they are in a phase and you are not, or you're in a phase and they aren't. Bottom line: just be your own best friend and problem solved! Say it out, say it loud: I'm a loner and I'm proud!

The diplomat will be send to warzones and underdeveloped countries, the businessman will go bankrupt, the politician humiliated by revealed scandals, the happily married cheated and divorced, the famous and the glamorous forgotten and laughed at. Believe me, I've seen all that, sooner or later it happens. Just get some pop corn, wine, pizza, ice cream (or all the above) and enjoy the show!
