@@Abyss777 I have a lot of different opinions over him, but, I don't think is fair to blame it all on JYP himself as he may be the CEO (I think) of the company, he does not manage each and every single group, there assigned teams who do it, what I do think he should've done as one of the main producers, is care for male idols in the exact same way he did for the female groups... But I don't really look into him, everything related to him that I know happened by chanche, so, I won't comment much, bit based on this clip alone, the comment you made about his dance are accurate, specially that elevator dance scene ☠️

i don't think it's just about that. personally i would admire anyone active despite their old age but from what i know of jyp, i can't help but relate to the hate he's getting. in case you are not aware i'd like to give light on this. i can only speak for GOT7's case since they're the only group i stanned under jype. it's not just the dance and his vocals per se, it's about how he thinks he's the best when he himself 's not even that great and that lead to people making fun of his outputs because honestly it's just mediocre compared to the insults he did towards his artists. he's a narcissist to the point that he always shame his idols on national tv. telling them off for their wrong techniques publicly and saying they can't book a schedule without him tagging along cause they ain't that popular like excuse me? this old man always tag along his artists and instead of making them shine, he always takes the spotlight as if he still needs it. he ain't even promoting anything yet talks more and takes screen time than his artists, even showed GOT7 in his mv that basically says "i''m better than you" for literally the whole song, told GOT7 they haven't found their color yet when the group's literally 10 years old already and it's so ironic since got7 makes their own songs. if anything got7 should know their color not him and fyi he said that during an interview when got7 already left his shthole of a company. he always like to stick his name in got7s credits and even gave jayb's song to a different group without jayb knowing, turned down jayb's songs after listening for less than 5 seconds. bro can't even get to the second line of the verse and already said the song ain't good. no matter how musically gifted you are, you can't judge the song's quality after listening it for just a few sec. the artist worked hard producing it at least show some respect, his reviews don't even make sense either, he once said the song sounded too foreign and yet he gets songs from foreign producers for his other idols. i can list more of the disrespectful things he did to GOT7 but let's leave it at this. man thinks he's still very relevant as an artist and belittles his idols and this is me only talking about how narcissist he is . wait until you find out how he handles his idols. people always defend him by saying he isn't the ceo of the company where in fact the ceo doesn't really intervene with the creative process. people forget he's the biggest shareholder and the founder of the company so of course with how business works, he naturally have a lot of say with the decision making plus he's the CCO. he handles all the creative direction of every idol. promotions, album making, song selection, mv making. every process that would show the artists' output, it's all his decision. he even showed his schedule once in a show and it all involved the artists creative works.

Have you seen anyone making fun of their former ceo/great senior in the way jype idols do it? Jyp hosts dinners with artists, attends their concerts, gives them advices and even former artists always talk about him in the good light, take a look at Sunmi (and other wonder girls members), BamBam, Jae and others. He’s really strict about music craft hence it may seem rude to you but he has every right to speak out his mind (and to stay respectful of course) and give advices because he’s one of the kpop og’s. And as I remember he turned off jayb’s song but after he worked on it more he gave it a second listen and said it was great. I’m not saying he’s the best person out there but he definitely does not deserves the hate he’s getting. Kpop stans keep blaming him for everything when he’s not even a ceo anymore. What does he have to do with idol’s promotions, their diets, mobbing at the airport and other stuff when he’s just another artist under the agency (plus a producer)

well everything's okay now as they are already out of his control. they have their creative freedom while still be able to be thank him for what he did. they struggled a lot in that company , they were boxed in but no matter how hard they had it under his care they still chose to be respectful to maintain a good relationship because that's how grateful they are, they wouldn't be who they are now if jyp did not debut them in the first place. they chose to focus on the good that's what bam and jayb said. i mean why not? he ain't a musical genius to be able to discern a good music for 3 seconds. that's just hyprocrisy and part of his narcissistic approach. his reviews after he listened didn't make sense either and is a contradictory on how he produced his music and approve music for other artists. it's like an excuse just to be able to say no and yes he accepted it at the end but do you remember what he said? he said it sounds good because it has the same chords as his song. lmao he gotta make it about him no? it's a show of course he'd say yes quite easily unlike how he let jb redo eclipse over 30 times, he can't even recognize his own song and that's even when the original demo was already approved by his creatives, he just can't let him be. not to mention all the other things he made little effort into about their shitty promotions and many more my point is he may be a friend at times but when his artists needed support and a stepping stone to shine brighter he failed. big time. he locked them on a level where he thinks they can only handle not thinking they'd soar higher only if he let them. the boys always respected him and he failed to do the same. years of guidance they say but still can't trust them and even told them they weren't making it yet. GOT7 might let go of the past struggles and think his goods overweighs his bad but as fans who saw how much they suffered think otherwise.

I feel like i should clarify- we don’t hate JYP… some people do- he’s very good at his job and is very passionate in his performances.. he also just gives us too many materials to work with- we do the same to SKZ Edit: yeah he’s done stuff, but I’m not someone who holds grudges..

before debut momo ate one icecube per day for a week due to them saying she needed to lose 7kg before debut otherwise she wouldnt be allowed to participate in the showcase. direct quote from momo : “I didn’t eat anything for the whole week and went to the gym all the time. I spat all the time so there was no water in my body. And when I laid down on the bed and tried to sleep, I was scared that I wouldn’t wake up again, so I suddenly started crying.”

I don't know much about JYP, but every time I see a video of him performing in an award show or something, I find it cringy but at the same time he looks passionate with his performance. Though like you said, there's a different between the generation of idols he came from vs the current generation of idols now. @@greysmith563 he's not directly in charge now but i don't think it erases what he did in the past & the fact that he still uses his position & influence to insert himself in the idols' spotlight to feed his ego & need to always take over & center himself. & as missyenny said, he still tries to sabotage/limit to a certain extent the groups under the agency (bc he feels threatened,envious or it's a power/ego thing, it translates often in his behaviours if u think abt it). btw i'm not saying to send hate or anything, i just think that more ppl should actually be able to know how truly he is (under the awkward-cringey/silly vibes) & what kind of person they might be defending/uplifting or giving too much positive attention to

I respect the fact that he has ZERO SHAME in his game.

JYP is not the CEO of JYPE anymore, but he's still a major shareholder. And although he doesn't manage the JYPE idols anymore, he's still very involved and I don't doubt his influence within JYPE. I can't say I'm really fond of the guy, but just a little reminder that any current management problem is due to the people in charge of the company. Again, that doesn't mean he doesn't have influence within the company he founded and that he's never problematic, BUT he's not the sole reason for all the issues in JYPE.

he's the cco . he handles all the creative decisions of every artist. the ceo doesn't really intervene much with the creative process. all final decision goes to jyp

@@itsmahaut jyp as the cco handles all the creative process, it also includes how the artists are managed even after the outputs are done (like albums) as it's his job to oversee every commercial and marketing aspect which means how these artists are promoted for them to generate sales or audience (gain fans). the ceo is usually the one who decides topline decisions that would impact the company generally along with the decision of his executives or shareholders. if i were to give an example , the ceo decided that there is a need to debut a new group, jyp does the rest and execute it. if jyp himself thought there was a need for a new group, he would present the idea to the ceo and if approved he would start making one and supervise everything from the members, concept of the group, debut song, debut album, showcase and so on ☺️

I'm not trying to be a JYP apologist, but people NEED to stop spreading misinformation about people they just dont like. the GOT7 one was, unfortunately something he was involved in. but he has gotten better and i beleive that he apologised to some of the members and he is friends with most of his ex artists. (also do not trust A WORD Jay Park says, hes literally the worst person ever and is racist towards HIS OWN RACE (specifically Koreans) and on top of all of that, he's acknowlaged most of these issues and has pretty much confirmed that he don't gaf)
