For the first time, Art Reserves has brought a proper fine art syllabus to its Freedom in Jail classrooms for Karachi Central Jail inmates.
This is the course kind of which is taught in various art schools throughout the world including the University of Karachi’s Visual Arts department.
Visual artists and art teachers of Karachi University Syed Kashan Ahmed and Saleem Ansari talk about their experiences of conducting those art classes in jail.
This is another first step by Art Reserves, an initiative that can change the world for many people through artistic interaction.
The project “Freedom in Jail” is determined to provide them with avenue to showcase and sell their artwork, and to become a part of society once again as better human beings.
