he’s only able to hit those notes with auto tune or melodyne helping him hit them, but when your live you’re really limited to your pure talent, not saying he’s not talented cuz hitting those high notes without fucking up in one take is really really hard so he just keeps it safe and staying on the low notes which are easy to hit

I’m not going at him but if he sung that high in the recording…we’ll you can sing that high live! There’s no difference and no excuses. I just don’t get why he doesn’t if he can. If he thinks he can’t he can use just vocal processors with pitch correction and other effects. A lot of artists do that so they can sing how they sung in the normal recording. Not hating, just sayin🤷‍♂️ he can if he wanted to

he can sing high notes, but this is his way of performing, and i think it can also damage his vocal chords because of the way he starts screaming when every single concert starts, i sort of noticed that his voice starts to get raspy by the time hes performing

Recording and performing live (daily on tour) are two completely different things. But I agree - I’m not getting what I want out of my favorite songs - DTA and So What. I imagine his new album will have more feasible notes for live performances.

there is a difference, he was on tour at the time so he was performing all the time, and screaming like that every time he performs the song is damaging to your vocal chords. I get its dissapointing but u cant blame him nor expect him to do it when it damages his vocal chords. If he were to suddenly start doing the high notes then hed have to do it everywhere which only makes it worse aswell

i get what youre saying but you also got to keep in mind how he's performing, he's always jumping and moving around. Pretty rare seeing someone that energetic and sing the studio version without dying for air

And not a single word was actually sung live.
