    Very good review! I am also a trad bow shooter. Last year I shot long bow and gonna try recurve this year. For the weak side shot, are you circling the tree all the way, or is there anyway to stand and turn to shoot? Also, do you ever tuck into cover with it or do you always have to be on a power pole like tree? I prefer the cover even at the sacrifice of the 360 degree shooting. Thanks!

    I want one, but I just want to try it first. Maybe I'll catch the next southern show. I got to know if it's more comfortable than my diy bosun seat, with a back strap. You would think it would be, with rigid back, and the material it's made of. But I have to say I'm already pretty cozy. But it looks better for packing. I can one stix with my bosun seat (I'm sure one could with the jx3 as well). Using the S.MA.R.T. climbing method. Watch (One Stixing like a BOSS). Instead of a stix you would just need another tether to put your weight onto, so you can advance the climbing line. It's simple, easy, and safe. I wouldn't recommend it to a big man if it wasn't. I hope you try it. I hope you like it and leave a comment. Thanks.

    I've always been a climber guy. Just seems like a lot of moving parts. It does look really comfortable. How easy is it to set up a climb in the dark?

  • @publiclandrambler

    @publiclandrambler

    8 ай бұрын

    It's extremely simple. The only "moving parts" are hooking up your linesman rope, and attaching your bridge. That's a total of three carabineers. As far as doing it in the dark, it's the same as a climber. Once you get over the learning curve, you know where everything is so it becomes muscle memory.

    Just take a 2’ length of 11mm rope and make a prussic knot to use as a tether loop holder. Leave it on the rope. Tether won’t drop/slide

  • @publiclandrambler

    @publiclandrambler

    9 ай бұрын

    The tether on a JX3 doesn't drop or slide because it has a built in keeper. One of the best things about the JX3 is you have a long list of other "accessories" other saddle hunters have to buy, that you never have to think about because it's either already built into the saddle or designed to keep you from ever needing it.

    It's right at 8 pounds without the sticks. The bridge doesn't hurt your shooting at all. I shoot traditional bows and muzzleloaders without any problems. (One of my bows is 74" long also.

    12 күн бұрын

    I've never shot a crossbow from one, but I know a lot of people do. I've never heard any complaints about it. It would be pretty similar to shooting a rifle, though. You have plenty of clearance for the limbs when you're shooting to the side whether it's a strong side or weak side shot.

    I am thinking of purchasing the jx3 and I'm also thinking of taking on the challenge of hunting with a SLING-BOW / SLING SHOT made by : chief A.J.'s/ Tony's elite sling bow that shoots 150- 200fps depending on arrow set up ! Its about as efficient as a traditional bow and it minimal design allows u to hunt in trees brush bushes etc. & never worry about allowing room to shoot a bow or anything just tuck yourself back in group of trees and have better close encounters i believe ! It doesn't. I have a bad back and hip from rodeo injuries and I had to quit hunting from ladders and climbers because of the pressure on my legs. They would go numb after about 30 minutes. I've never had a problem sitting in the JX3. I average 4-5 hours per hunt but I do several daylight to dark sits a season. I can sit all day in it and I'm not sore that night or the next day. They also offer a cushion that makes it even more comfortable.
