I like it except for the thick blotchy dark strips that the light shows even while upright. I'll hold out for a better version or product. Also the price is astronomical!
Beautiful review. That is a quality standard bulb for sure. Nice and bright. But the JW has a wider spread to see the critters. The adaptive capability is priceless if it keeps me from kissing a deer, gravel, pot hole, etc... I'm sold!
Totally getting these on my next bike!
super awsome review about this new headlight game changing brahh :D
A little disappointed that the Adaptive Light isn't as strong in a straight line than the standard.

It's hard to gauge "strength", beam length, or lux from a video. Could be a ISO setting on the camera, or maybe the headlight is pointed too low. Long story short theres lots of variables, you have to see the light in person to judge.

@@rustyshackleford5509 it's clearly stated in other interviews its not as bright so its not just the video

Does seem stronger to the sides though - a wider beam. Which would be good for spotting animals.

@@wfdTamar I'm pretty happy with the light, three years on. It's a little pricey, but, hey, my bike is worth it!

@@threethrushes I have the same light on my 2019 CVO Harley and it's the best light "I" have seen so far. I as well would like it to be brighter and more fill would be great. However again this is the best light I've seen and used so far and I've owned 7 BMW's with superior lighting as well and this seems to stand up almost as good. There is room for improvement for sure. Any for $600 + one would think it's would be a Daylighter!
I'm surprised at how dim it is when it comes to the low beam. I'm assuming because there's less LEDs for the low beam. I ended up using a non-adaptive LED 7" headlight on my setup and it's low beam is a lot brighter. it's also pretty wide so it helps on the turns. Anways I have a quick clip on my channel for those wanting to see what it looks like. Thanks for posting by the way
But how well does it work minted in a fairing that's mounted to the frame rather than the forks?
The light is good going round the corner but not as good as the standard light in a straight line.

looks to me like he just needs to adjust his headlight, tons of light was being thrown down road

Don't think high beam is adaptive due to it using all the lights at one time
As of 5/23 the price of the Adaptive light is $719 USD. Was going to go for it until I said wow that's a bunch of money. Still would love to have it, but went for a Cyclops 10.0 H4 in my '23 SV 650. $80 USD and this led is amazing compared to the halogen. Super easy install. Very happy.
It's clear that the "standard" is much brighter on the straights, while the JW "adaptive" lights the curve better on the turns. That's a real toss up on which headlight one would consider "better"... Maybe if JW Speaker added a brighter light for its low beam it would be the ultimate solution.
Awesome video !!!
Great video. Where did you get the rear housing for this lamp?
would have been good to see what the high beam light looks like.
How much power would this light require
Looks great around the corners but in a straight line you cant see crap. I live in Iowa where its mostly straight roads this would get me killed.
im rather shocked at the fact the jw speaker adaptive one isnt really any brighter than the standard. or was the standard already led?
This seems a lot more dim compared to the original light, is this just because of video/post - or is the original bulb/light actually brighter that the LED one?
That’s really cool. Now that you have it a while what do you think
Quality LED replacement in stock reflector, add flood or spot LED side lights. Done.

That gets the job done, but wont look as clean or simple.
Good idea, however homogenity of the beam isn't corresponding to its price. Perhaps they will tweek this out :)
pretty badass...
That's a big improvement
$400 is not that bad for this headlight. i bought an LSL headlight for my streetfighter/cafe racer and it cost me $466 and that's with a standard H4 light. it comes with a bracket. I had to buy an HID conversion kit for another $50. but then you have to buy a housing and bracket for this. but it's pretty awesome.

But why when you can get perfectly comparable lights for $100 or less?
nice video, do you know if they make one for the MT07?

+Steven Matthews There's no reason why it wouldn't work, but you'd need to look at how it's mounted.
Wow that headlamp is Hightech
Sold! First to sell this kidney
Will it pass the MOT in the UK?

Mine did , but with an advisory as the tester thought it projected the standard beam to the right

to figure out how to shine beams of light on an angle is not difficult. I have a better idea yet to be shown. They are soaking the market. Of course it works but I see more work to be done.
Damn it.....won't fit a 996!
i can see these causing an accident as someone is going to take the lights coming on and off as a signel to pull out from a junction , as bad as those stupid driving lights on new cars that come on going round corners , and where's the light beam on dip in a straight line . worse than standard ,
Looks much darker than stock on straights. Possibly a video artifact, but still…
I can buy a bike that has more engineering into it than that headlight. It's only a matter of a simple circuit board and a few other things that are so cheap. They are soaking you
Well it's definitely "night and day" (pun intended)
weak low beam, feels like 4000 lumens, thanks to reviews, bought it and was disappointed
they would sell much more at a lower price. That's rediculas
