Thanks Dave. A round the world look at the JVC TD-V1010. It sure is a lovely piece of workmanship.

JVC's Digifine 1010 were no-holds-barred engineering marvels. The matching amplifier is a beast that even today is hard to beat, spec wise, discounting the aged DAC. I miss the days of these companies really pushing the envelope.

JVC made some high quality tapedecks,a joy to watch and listen to.

I had a Nakamichi deck in the 90s it was an amazing seperate ,direct drive motor super quiet very smooth transport operation

Nice video! This deck is one that's been on my wishlist to get.

That is certainly not an average deck. There are so many pieces of equipment you have highlighted, that I never even knew existed.

Now that is the real power of cassettes, when you hear it once you can't unhear it. To me JVC always do simple and quality stuff. You see, a proper quality decks does not output noise and audio losses. ;)

Lovely deck never been a fan of JVC but every now and again a really good product.

That,s an awesome machine u have got there,,,the sound is nice and crisp clear in stereo,,,as I have a 2 speaker stereo phone to play back youtube and mp3 music,,,, which does sound loud and clear too.

Wow! they really pushed the boat out on that design, no expense spared at all.

Interesting cassette deck! Many of these 3 heads 2 capstans mechanisms share the same problems over the years, bad leaky caps on the servo motor. I serviced 2 SONY TCK750ES with similar but different IC, with 4 caps to replace...

A friend of mine had this one. Beautiful machine, but without the bottom particle board. I learned that it got stolen from him 🥴.

Seperate circuit boards and a lot of copper shielding - you know its gonna be good.
