Yesterday Sh Omar brought up women who don’t have kids; today he brought up people who aren’t the BEST Muslims but are trying. This is such an excellent quality because often religious discussions can feel alien to ‘ordinary’ folks. It has more impact when ALL are included. May Allah SWT guide us all.

Jazakum Allahu khair for this beautiful and very beneficial series and everything that Yaqeen does. It is truly a gem for the Ummah and the future generations as well. My question would be how can you get to be taken under a scholar’s wing? It feels like scholars are not always as accessible or when they are they don’t have the time or commitment to take someone under their wing. I would love to know whom I can go to that can be a mentor of mine. I take Islamic classes but haven’t found someone to do this for the whole journey of mine.

There is no racism in Islam. We have to remember that there is a difference between Islam and muslims. Islam is perfect, muslims are not. Muslims may act in ways that are not in line with the teachings of Islam, for whatever reason. The prophet Muhammad, Allah's blessings and peace be upon him, said in his farewell sermon: "There is no superiority of an Arab over a non-Arab, or of a non-Arab over an Arab, and no superiority of a white person over a black person or of a black person over a white person, except on the basis of personal piety and righteousness."

Sheikah yes, different types of sheiks/sheikahs such as teachers whom are also referred to as “sheik”. Perform nikkah, women can prepare the marriage contract and do everything up to the point where the words are exchanged and that is done by a wadi whom is male. Ordinary unlearned men are also not able to perform the nikkah.
