Juvenile Crayfish by Rasmus Kristensson

A rather simple and effective crayfish pattern for perch. Slim profile to make it sink fast and with claws made of zonked squirrel to add buoyancy to make the fly stand on the bottom. The Shrimp & Cray Tail weight makes it sink straight downwards, which helps to emulate a fleeing crayfish each time you strip it home. Works really well on trout and rainbow trout as well.

Kanon! 👌🎣
Sick! I hope I win this fly, I'm not sure I'd fish it, probably hang it up in my tying room. Thanks for the sick pattern and video!

Thanks August!
Cool crayfish 😎. Nice to see it tied on a streamer hook and not a jigg hook. Would look really nice in my perch box 😉. I need more tying material now 😂 👍🏻🎣🐊

Thanks! The classic streamer hooks are often forgotten but works great on this pattern. High hook-up percentage and makes it swim correct.

@@FlyDressing have you tried it with a shorter shank streamer hook?. I guess the length and the cray tail it pretty balanced. Can really see it being tied in blue/black junebug 👍🏻
Cool🎣🤘
Cool tie. Would love to have that in my box. Thank you
Great looking fly, I love fishing cray fish here in the states. Would love to win this fly for fishing large mouth bass. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to the next one.

Thank you!

It would be awesome if you would make another video of this but explaining what you're using because that would be bad ass in my toolbox so I would like to make one. I just don't know what to use like where do you get those little orange eyes and what are you used for the weight in the front?

Hi Marco. All the materials I use are written in the descripton of the video. The eyes are called "Easy Shrimp Eyes" and the tail is a "Shrimp & Cray Tail" from Flymen Fishing co.
