As a 50+ year Lion fan, I knew the Lions would settle for the FG on their last drive which would setup Balt/Jackson for the win. That always happens. I also knew they would convert the 4th and 19. That also always happens. I have to say, the record 66 yarder as time expired, tapping the crossbar with the exact angle of the ball needed to flip on through, THAT was a new one. Congrats to the Ravens who've done something not many can do - find a NEW WAY to beat the Lions. When you've lost by nearly every scenario possible, that is a tough feat. Booing Sheila Ford at the Calvin Johnson ceremony is the best thing that has ever happened to me as a Lion fan.

Exactly this. There was a blown delay of game call on the spike before the kick that should have backed up Baltimore another 5. But once again a blown call leads to the Lions losing in dramatic fashion; something us fans have experienced far too much. Just goes to show you, even tho the lions look completely different this year offensively and a bit on D; it's still the same ol' lions 🦁

The crazy part is when that bounces off the cross bar it could have easily bounced out. Basically 50-50 on the edge it hits. Absolutely crazy and easily the greatest kick in the history of the game.

It IS the greatest kick in the history of the game to date. We as Steelers fans should be proud of the progression every team but ours makes every year to work towards winning championships. Harbaugh having faith in a kicker to win games is just absurd anymore. When you have the the game gets very simple in 2 minute drills. Tomlin on the other hand refuses to take responsibility for his own hires’ mishaps and plays a political game. CONSERVATIVE football wins games, get what I’m saying? Was blessed to be at the game with my family. Awesome memories and great to see Calvin Johnson (Megatron) receive his Hall of Fame Ring at halftime too. Lots of history being made and memories.

Not only is this the longest field goal ever but it was also kicked outside of Denver. The majority of the longest field goals of all time have been kicked in Denver because of how thin the air is and the fact that he broke the record outside of there is just insane. Man is a Hall of Famer already

He puts in the work with his center and holder and it pays off in instances like this one. There aren't many kickers in the HOF but if any kicker deserves a first ballot entry, it's Justin Tucker. Another Steelers fan called Tucker "the GOATiest GOAT that ever GOATed". I can believe that. He never seems to miss against us (OK, granted, he hardly ever misses against anybody else either). The only kicker who can miss a 67-yarder that would've won the game, and you don't question the OC's sanity for trying the kick.

The last 3 record BREAKING field goals have all involved a team Matt prater would play for, did play for, and had played for.

Tucker is more valuable than several QBs. You literally just need to get to mid field to be in scoring range.

Well, there's a difference between the "Double doink" and the "Justin Tucker" kick. Parkey just flat-out missed that FG. The refs completely ignored the obvious Delay of Game and never called it against the Ravens. The Lions got cheated, the Bears just choked.

Just because other teams chose to throw a ball and never had to attempt a 66 yard field goal doesn't make him the greatest kicker ever. Jason Elam of the Broncos made a 63 with room to spare over a decade ago. And I'm not even a Broncos fan lol. Mason Crosby is 6 years older at 37. Being almost 40, he has made over 50 more field goals than Tucker. He hasn't had to make them that long because he has Aaron Rodgers as a QB🤣just saying. Go back and watch Mason Crosby hit a 58 yarder and see how high up the post it was. Could have went almost 70 yards, ironically against the Lionesses as well.Tucker's hit the cross bar and barely made it in. Lucky bounce lmao.

Fun Fact: Tom Dempsey’s game winning FG of 63 yards was kicked against the Detroit Lions and won that game 19 to 17 in 1970.

If it wasn't straight down the middle, it would've bounced backwards and not make it. That's how accurate it had to be to make it through. That extra distance if it drifted even 1 yard either side would've stopped it going over. Amazing.

Was 9 years old when I watched Tom Dempsey beat the Lions with his 63 yd field goal in 1970. Being young and a huge Lions' fan, I cried. Watching Tucker's 66 yarder hit the crossbar and go through, I laughed. The epitome of watching the Lions for 50+ seasons.

First time I've ever got to see history made 😁 wonder how long it'll take for somebody to try a 67 yarder. Outstanding kick Mr Tucker. That record will be in the books for quite some time probably for as long as Brady's name is going to be in the record books 😝
