If you like this song check out the version that's posted calling it "My Starter Won't Start". He's playing at a library of all places. It's the best performance of this song I have ever heard. The guitar work is first rate amazing. Thus guy is a born performer. Truly a great musician

I came here from that recording, i kinda like this one better, although he technically plays better on the recording in the library, this one seems to have a different pace to it

@@josephgrady2129 Yes! I think this one is a better version because he's high on some cocaine, well at least I think he is, because he put himself into the music, he's not even considering everyone around, he's just going to where the music takes him, and it's some kind of magical.. he was a true legend!

Just went down the Townes rabbit hole, probably two years ago. A couple friends of mine were already on old austin locals. Just heard of Justin a few months ago through watching Steve. Today I decided to dive a little deeper and this was the second Justin song I listened to today. Just finding out in the comments about his passing. Guess I’ll go google now, crazy how a lot of people have enough pain to say no and live fast regardless of circumstances. Speaking for myself.

I got to jam with Justin when he was a teenager. I taught him some on Hendrix "Manic Depression" (I played drums)and he showed me some things too. in all accounts, we had a lot of fun and moved forward in music together. I am glad he has done and is doing so well!

Fran, type in (j.t. van zandt) to listen to Townes' own son. If you like Townes you'll like j.t. spittin' image of his dad. you'll also enjoy the interview with him at the Texas Heritage Songwriters Hall of Fame video as he talks about his dad and his music.
