I find it comforting that he values the longevity of a project's lifespan versus its immediate box office returns -- especially considering The Leftovers. It's criminal that even in this interview it was only granted a small stub of the video. It's the single greatest piece of television I've ever had the pleasure of seeing and I hope as the years unfold, it'll also continue to facilitate more supporters and further prove his point.

I completely 1,000,000% agree with you. I'm only doing my 3rd rewatch of the Leftovers currently, but I think back on it pretty often. I really loved the juxtaposition with music against PERFECT cinematic edits - not only the original score which is amaze, but also those like classical-orchestra versions of Pixies' 'Where is my Mind?' The best forever and I'll always hold that opinion!!

I love him, the Leftovers is by far the best series I have seen. I would get so emotional every episode. The two scenes that hit me the most is when Kevin eulogizes Patty with Matt. The second, when he sings Homeward Bound. Fact: They wanted Kevin (Justin) to sing Just Like a Prayer by Madonna, but they could not get the rights. I am so happy they did not get the rights, Homeward Bound was spot on for that episode and it's season.

I was also curious if they only cover specific movies, or go though his career and only select highlights for the finished edit which would be rather subjective depending on the producer. Younger people would not even get the hysteria of American Psycho at the time of its release and it would have been nice to hear Mr. Theroux's thoughts on it considering how it is viewed now. It would be neat if they made the complete interviews available to VF subscribers. I might even sign up if that ever happened.

Wasn’t she one of the movie’s main producers, though? She might have been busy with other stuff.

Surprised and not surprised at the amount of views….. this guy deserves a captain America/iron America type role. Pretty much plug him into anything and he will kill it.

Just like the series itself, The Leftovers is underappreciated in the video.

I first saw him in Parks and Rec and then I saw him in The Leftovers, but I did not even recognize he was the same person until I looked up his IMDb and I was blown away thinking, "Justin?!? No way!!" Those characters and their styles are so different. Kinda sad they left out that role in this, but also it was smaller compared to the others so that's understandable.
