And that is because he is on the team so of course the salary cap is his problem too. If you want to win Super Bowl. That is exactly what they have been doing. He might only pay Micah. He could let Dak walk in free agency and trade Lamb. I think Jerry has been preparing for a rebuild. It's the only thing that explains his inactivity in free agency. He probably figures why get all these pieces when we're going to have a new coach, quarterback and wideout next year.

The individual market is based in draft year and draft round but also the team you want to play for. Right now the teams wanting to pay are 9ers eagles maybe dolphins

With salary cap, it doesn't matter Cowboys is the most valuable franchise in the world. Everyone has same amount of money to spend. Salary cap limits what every team can spend on players. This isn't 90's when there was no salary cap.

We don't need to play the what if game at all. But there is a clear distinction of talent between JJ and Ceedee. L.B.F.R. the numbers don't match, and their teams' overall record and success have not been the same. Cowboys have been overlly, more successful throughout the past 4 seasons. Vikings have not an still JJ have stood out.

With the wide receivers coming out of college the last few years being developed so well and ready to start ASAP I’d trade Ceedee and get some comp picks from another team. Plenty of great receivers coming out every year you can find productive players. I’d also trade Micah because it’s too much.

CeeDee should be paid around 130M for 4 yrs 100M (Guaranteed) right under JJ but higher than St.Brown

You can either pay him now or pay him more later. The price is only gonna go up.

My take is this could end up viewed like Deshaun Watson contract, it's so far beyond the next closest (tyreek) money the league could view it as an outlier and nobody will be willing to even come close to it. Lamb, Chase, and Aiyuk all waiting now but I don't think any of them will get similar money

This contract will hurt alot of teams. On the surface it is great that salaries have been raised for receivers, but a third of your money as a team cannot be spent on your WR room and QB room. The problem isn't the owners, the problem isn't the players, the problem is the salary cap. Justin Jefferson is the only real weapon the Vikings have. And they are not winning playoff games during the course of this contract. Even less so when the QB hits his 2nd contract. The Cowboys and 49ers are facing this problem now. You cannot blame these players for getting paid every penny they can, but getting their bag is more important than hoisting that Lombardi. I foresee some teams having a rotating trio of receivers that they replenish through the draft. (which might be why the 49ers drafted 2 WRs) And teams that aren't doing well, that have more cap room, can afford to get the CD Lambs and Brandon Ayuks. Does Tyreek Hill hold out for more.

Basing CeeDee's potential on his stats vs. Jefferson, he took 6 games longer to put up the same stats. So CeeDee should be happy with about 30% less than Jefferson got.
