    He has the most time to throw in the league! He's scared to throw to "NFL open" receivers. He won't throw unless somebody is wide open. The reason they throw so many screens is because he has one option. If you give him more than one, he struggles.

    @@robdaniel3211 Like bro, it got to the point where the Vikings edge rushers would just clog the throwing lane. They even batted down a few screens lol. Justin had to start pump faking towards the end of the game to get them to work. And even with the Lions game or Broncos game, Getsy changes his gameplans for the worse towards the end of those games, becoming a conservative "run-run-pass" play caller. But against the Commanders, he didn't do that and we won. He didn't go away from what they were doing as an offense and he allowed Justin to keep running up the score, making it look easy at parts. I just don't get it lol.

    Trading fields for scraps. And drafting a QB who's not half the talent of year 4 Justin fields and may never be that good, drafting someone like that at #1 overall. Taking a chance that huge when youve already got a top 8-12 QB. That would be the biggest wasted oppurtunity in sports history. The bears have an oppurtunity to literally build a dynasty right now. They can't give that up because they don't "believe" in fields. Redundant thinking.

    He's a capable guy. I have no doubt that he'd be a star if he were in the 49ers system or somewhere else with excellent coaching and playcalling. Part of the public narrative is shifted by the fact that the Bears could "reset the QB clock" and start another rookie on a rookie salary. I know it allows you to get highly paid players around a relatively cheap, effective QB within the salary cap. I get it. How many rookie deal QBs have won a Super Bowl in the last ten years? I say, stop it, extend him soon, it will be relatively team friendly, get a better coaching staff, and be a better organization. He's a sensational talent. Make it work. Caleb Williams will not save this coaching staff.

If we get the no 1 again and can trade down, get a O lineman, a beast rusher, or a stud wideout, AND get another player like a DJ Moore. We do that. This coaching staff is failing our fan base big time, but Fields is got to play better situational football because those fumbles at that time with the game in the fourth quarter could have been the end for Justin Fields. Because like he said that was on him he has to be more discipline with the rock. He was carrying it to unsecured both fumbles and wasn't really sure of how to run the play. Although that being said.I was still really rotting for Justin and our Chicago Bears to win that game. And he made the throw to DJ Moore to win the game. Exactly, the O line isn't gassed under Bagent because he gets it out quickly, and they are gassed and have miss blocks or get beat under Fields because he asks them to block too long because he holds onto the ball too long because he can't throw to those over the middle crossing routes that have to be thrown from the pocket. I don't understand why JF fan boys don't understand that. The constant scrambling hero ball on every play just fucks up the rhythm and the flow of the offense.

One classic information was when you see the width of the underneath the fenders, you have to work the middle of the field. I just think that if after 2 1/2 seasons if you haven't seen a 250 million quarterback yet when you have what looks to be the first pick overall in the 2024 draft, it's pretty much got to be that you believe there's no good quarterbacks at the top of the in order to keep Justin Fields. For the Bears that have two number one draft picks in two consecutive years and then still not have a franchise quarterback would be inexcusable.

And there’s been a couple QBs to win that are just like Justin but not as athletic, the only QBs you could probably even mention would be Brady and Manning. Mahomes is a scrambled you could argue some of his best plays are when he decides to tuck and run , same with Lamar and Allen, but every single other playoff QB is better protected than Justin Fields is and that is a stone cold fact.

    I don’t see why Caleb Williams is going to be better, or the other guy from North Carolina… What I see with Justin is a special talent that needs to be developed properly, have better quality game planning… It’s not all his fault… He’s getting the ball out quicker, you can still see he’s got too much of a Delivery the ball goes back too far behind his head, he needs to keep the movement mostly going forward just like Josh Allen… But he’s learning… He’s getting better at keeping his eyes down Field, but sometimes he moves a little too soon and the receiver is no longer open or someone is in his face to knock down the ball… But they also need a quicker faster and elusive running back… For the screenplay, they don’t have that guy that can make people miss and turn it into a touchdown… They should’ve drafted the guy from East Carolina last season, but they didn’t… Anyway, no matter what happens They need to stick with him for next season… And if all else fails fine, but from what I see, he’s got some special abilities that you just don’t pass up on, you have to develop those special skills instead of moving on after seeing guys like Lamar Jackson, who was a much worse passer in college, Justin is more talented than him or Jalen hurts, so whoever screws it upit’s going to be the coaching and coordinators… Not Justin

    Pry Eight QBs with starting potential in this draft. At least. So after teams get theirs, Rd three and four you should take a swing on a high ceiling QB who push Fields. Bo Nix, JJ, lefty Penix, Texas QB Ewers may be really good. Sanders would be my QB one if coming out. Tom Brady is his trainer and it shows. So you start Fields, get his option, but you got guys developing. Bagent is there too to compete. That's the route I personally would go. Unless Lincoln Riley is our Head Coach. Pry still keep Fields 😅 After the four teams who need QB pick theirs, the rest fall. Just how it is.

    @mihnic05047 ай бұрын

    The way I see Justin is as a hybrid QB/ HB like the NFL had in the 1930’s. There was a play against the Lions last year where JF ran a long TD in. A Detroit LB met him at the goal line and JF lowered his shoulder and I believe knocked the guy unconscious for a second. Let me repeat that for emphasis, Justin Fields knocked out a NFL linebacker. When you’re taught to get tackled like a rag doll to avoid injury you’re going to fumble when you take any real contact. So you avoid contact and you flail when you fall. This is good for Tom Brady. We know Fields is a runner. If you want him to stop fumbling then teach him to lower the shoulder. Getsy lacks foresight. He has a specific protocol game plan for a specific QB. Fields is something different. You need to be creative and innovative to make Fields great. You need an offensive coordinator as unique as Fields. Someone who can escape from the realm of normal standard, an innovator. Getsy has no identity to this offensive. Are we west coast, ball control, gun slinger? He seems all over the place. What’s are bread and butter play. It’s hard to ID because there is no consistency. If I was an offensive coordinator I would go back to the beginning history of football and look for successful teams ran the offensive when a QB was a primary runner. I would take some of those concepts and modernized them. Now the defenses that are built to stop the pass won’t have the pieces to stop a big set running QB out of the shot gun double tight wishbone. Let’s see you blitz that. Think I’m wrong? Watch Baltimore.

    I totally agree, Chase… Most of the median Chicago is still so negative even when they win… It’s like what’s the point? We knew they were going to blitz constantly, and so sure the game plan was a bit too conservative… But Justin showed so much ability that other guys can’t do… With his legs and especially his arm while he’s on the move… Incredible playmaking skills… The defense is easily top five so they have improved greatly. There is more communication, a lot more chemistry… And if the offense can pick up another receiver or two, a small, burner, gadget guy that can do everything from kickoffs to screenplays, similar to Isaiah Pacheco. Or. Hardman… More like a Tyreek Hill type player… Basically a better version of TCC… There should be a few guys available… They had one last year from East Carolina that I thought would be great, but they passed up on him… They passed up on Puca.. thought would be a good option, they passed on rice, who I thought would be a good addition.. and years ago, I wanted Tyler Lockett and the second or third round… And now he’s one of the better small receivers in the game… But I get it, it’s not always perfect… I would like to see them use Jones more often in the passing game on screens, slant routes, deep routes, Whatever, because he’s going to be one on one most of the time and if if you can get past his just like Tyler Scott, both of those guys should be getting more opportunities. Why the hell not? You need to see what they can do so instead of avoiding them through to them and if it’s a good throw and they drop it then you know what you have… But if they don’t get any opportunities, I think they’re wasting talent.

    I understand being screen heavy/ short pass to counter the blitz. But when it doesn't work for a whole half you HAVE to adjust. Getsy didn't. Not a fan of majority of his play calling. There's always a couple plays where I'm like "wow, nice design" but they're rare. And for the love of God stop calling shotgun on 3rd/4th & short. Literally adding 4yds to the play. Makes no damn sense. JF isn't a small guy, tush push that shit. IMO, pick up JF's 5th yr option and trade the #1 pick. take MHJ & the top LT available(hopefully Alt). Use the 2nd rounder you'll get from the trade to take a QB(one will fall to 2nd, no way 5 QBs go in 1st rnd) or S(to replace EJ) Take a C in 3rd rnd. (hopefully Van Pran is available) Fire Getsy. I just don't think he's a good OC. Flus can go too, but wouldn't be horribly upset if he stayed. He's not a good HC, but he's turned around the D. I prefer for him to go, but...In a perfect world they trade with ARI.(I know they paid KM, but he's not good) They have the most stock to trade away. Also, throw B. Burns a bag in the offseason. Imagine him & Sweat on either side...BEAR DOWN!!!

    There are many different ways to attack the blitzing defense, screen passes are one of them. Unfortunately, there is too many weeks of Bears football on tape that the DC knows what is coming. Getsy and Flus are absolute fools. they don't know how to gameplan and they cannot call any play that is remotely unpredictable. That pass over the top to Kmet streaking across the field was a GREAT call - and it worked big time. That was the only truly good call for this coaching staff. Fire them yesterday please

    In regards to play 1. The TE/DE is exactly the problem. The pocket is about many things and creating a visual lane for the QB to make a pass is an important concept to me. This is a nice play by the defender. Justin either needs to stop to allow Kemet to open the field of vision or take off at this point. A throw without letting the lane clear would be a blind throw and that leads to interceptions. Fields does the second best thing and takes a sac. He does need to start making theses though.

    They still are around 22 passing the ball with at best a 90 rating, right now he is not significantly better than Mayfield or Trubisky doing the same thing. He still has time to put some 300-yard games but weather and coaches desire to win games managing the QB position to get another year probably means that will not happen. Their priority is to catch the Packers or Vikings with 2 more losses than them, given the Bears ownership and history if they do that, they will get another year. In general, the guy they brought in to run the team does not want to let this management pick the QB that likely some other coach and GM will have to live with like the Panthers situation. A lot of these passes with big blitz they need some or all to run away from the defender across the field, when you have this type of sell out you need optional routes built in. There is no help at all for 3 DBs giving 10-yard cushion, ready to close on the throw, they run right at the 3 DBs, 2 of them optionally should have crossed the field there is a single safety 20 yards out of the play. There would have been 2 guys wide open crossing in the middle with a chaser, maybe he can't lead a guy properly, too may stop throws says something about hitting moving receivers, and maybe one of the reasons for no TDs and a 90 rating.

All Kmet had to do was get in the way and he just doesn't at all. Justin sets the block up perfectly and he's not expecting a hit there, he's looking for the next move. Football is a game of inches and the bears team just suck so bad. In the 1st round of the 2024 NFL draft my wonderful Chicago Bears 🐻 use their two 1st round picks to select Penn OT Fashanu or Notre Dame OT Alt. Then they draft The DT out of Illinois or the edge rusher from UCLA. The Bears should trade back with both of their 2st round picks in order to get two 2025 1st picks and two 2024 second round picks. They maybe able to get some additional 2024 and 2025 middle and late round picks in the deal. There is a WR at Colorado State named Horton jersy #14 he can really play and should be available in rounds 2-4. The Bears need to draft three offensive linemen as follows LT, pure Center, and a Guard that has played some Center. On defense select two edge rushers and 1 big mean DT or 2 big mean DTs and one edge. Getting Sweat from Washington may dictate getting two DTs vs two edge rushers. Of course get a you g mean safety and perhaps a tall athletic CB and maybe go for death at other positions. The Bears do not need another quarterback. Keep Justin, Peterman and Bagent. Improving the offensive line on both the right and left sides will help Justin out alot. Justin, Peterman and Bagent will benefit from an improved offensive line. That OT from Penn State or Notre Dame would help for sure. Bear Down!

    2:41 his feet aren’t set to make that deep throw, I’m sure he can’t see #2 from this particular angle.

    Hey, Not that Justin Fields is not interesting; however, I wanted to ask you about your analysis of Adian O'Connell. You did both wins by the Raiders, but you did neither of the two losses (Miami or KC). Can you analyze either, if not both, of the two losses? It would be nice to see where it did not go right for Adian so we can know if he is fixing things or if he is static or regressing in his play. Clearly, in games that they have won, he has looked very good. Still, both NY teams are garbage right now, so even though the Jet's D is playoff level, seeing what the Raiders and O'Connell can do against potential SuperBowl level teams would be helpful in our evaluation of the Raiders (KC and Miami potentially are SB level teams) when we watch. By your analysis, we might judge how well Adian is progressing game in and game out. It just feels like he did "better" than expected for the NYC games. But when the Raiders fell short, we forgot about him. I have two questions: did we lose because of Adian or in spite of him. The Miami game was closer than expected, and in the KC game, a big lead went away. Now that the league has several weeks of film, how is Adian answering? Are they seeing tendencies that are exploitable, and is he making corrections to observations (or if he isn't making those corrections, what does he need to make)? Now, that type of analysis would be world-class! Thank you, and your work is top-notch. I still say Adian looks like an early cross between Big Ben and Dak.
