You’re correct, it’s getting out of hand like 2 pre wedding celebrations and main wedding is yet to happen, it’s too much even for us. But in India, we actually celebrate our weddings for atleast 2 weeks. It’s that huge I swear 😂 From so many rituals to mehendi, haldi rasam, sangeet, engagement party etc. Everyone from low to middle to upper class people celebrate weddings this way in India but these people are spending way too much, I agree.

I went to my coworker/ friends wedding. Your culture has the most beautiful ceremonies . I love the bright colors and the bride is wearing soooo much gold - 24k gold , she changes her gowns 6 times or more... and the parade in the neighborhood . Soooo many orchids .. The first look .. , the groom broke down crying ..The music and dancing . Really the best wedding I've ever been to ..
