He is Absolutely Breathtaking, not to take anything away from American Pharoah,Justify is a much better built and Beautiful horse. But i love them both cause they are decedents of the GREAT SECRETARIAT.💜💜

I did not know they were both descendent from the God's horse, the great Secretariat. Even American Pharoah has a red coloring to his coat. The seed is strong as they say in Game of Thrones.

Most modern TB's are decendents of Secretariat, it really doesn't make them special.

Very loose and athletic walk, incredible looking animal and starting to get some real good stock on the ground, wish I had a mare good enough to visit him and the money needed to cover his fees.

To much emphasis is put on the so called “perfect confirmation”. This horse beat a lot of horses that were probably better balanced in a judged competition. This big fella showed his worth on the track and he’s gorgeous.

he did retire because of persistent ankle inflammation. This seems to be the only video in retirement of him showing some sort of lameness.

His legs and feet are horrible overall. His conformation is not something I'd ever breed to. The family on both sides is packed with horses who could not race very long or very often. And this picture shows it from when he first retired: www.pinterest.com/pin/271975264982204691/

@@CC-xn5xi Hi CC. Looking at him just standing, you can see his front knees are crooked. You should be able to draw a line straight down his leg and stay straight, except for the ankle, that should be at a 45 degree angle. Then his hind, the left is fine. If the right would be that way, then it'd be perfect. However, when he was standing, again his right hoof turns out a little. Then when he walks, you can see he takes a shorter stride with his right. You can see from behind that the right hip drops too. Sorry this got wordy, I used to compete for judging horses.

He is a mouthy young stallion, which is completely natural at that age - the handler is just keeping him from biting and keeping him straight and focused. I hate to see a bad handler but, in this case, he is doing everything appropriate. So, in summary, there is a need to do the light jerking he is doing....this is not an ordinary gelding or mare, this is a breeding stallion - they require much more skill and know-how to handle otherwise it can be very dangerous. Btw, I am someone very concerned about animal welfare and donate to PETA and so forth....though having said that it is important to know what you are talking about when making comments about potential abuse as otherwise, you are crying wolf and give the whole animal welfare movement a bad name...so this is just meant to be educational. Best regards.

Hey, Anita - show us how it's done, girlfriend. YOU take the lead shank on that stud horse, just clip it to the halter, take him for a nice stroll and see how many pieces he takes out of you as a result.

They do that to keep the stallions from biting the handlers. These aren’t backyard pets and can take a massive chunk out of anyone they can get their hands on. As stallions get older (especially sexually active ones) they become more mouthy and aggressive, the handlers have to make sure that they don’t get hurt while making sure they’re in control of the horse.
