Well, all the things that you want
are not the thing that you want,
because those things that you want
aren’t so worthy
You see, the things that you want,
the things you covet or flaunt,
the things you think that you want,
are just surface
So, when you get what you want,
you’ll find it’s not all you want
and you’re just straight on back
to the seeking
For all the stuff that you’re sold,
so fun to have and to hold,
it simply doesn’t provide
what you’re needing
You will never find the thing
that’s just what you want
When you look outside you see
so many things, so many things
When all the things that you want
are not the things that you want,
it’s ‘cause the things that you want
aren’t worth wanting
So, when you get what you want,
you’ll find it’s not all you want
An endless cycle that
leaves you hungry
You will never find the thing
that’s just what you want
That’s because inside you have
an empty place, a hollow space
