I loved it as well, the film feels fast but it still flows really well and the voice acting is great both music and acting wise. The things i loved the most were the nods to all things Disney and how this sets this movie in the magical world of Disney! Solid 9/10 for me

Saw this Saturday at a Regal Early screening and found it to be 6/10 - I did thoroughly enjoy my 90 mins with it - younger kids will love the musical numbers my inner child wanted more . I found Asha and Magnifico characters to be undercook - they would have greatly benefited an additional few minutes for character development. A little more focus on Asha Grandfather and mother stories would have been more impactful. Out of Asha group of friends - Dahlia (Doc) was the most fleshed out and the rest just played out their 7 dwarfs caricatures. I found it to be just ok - as it feels more like a direct to Disney+ title than one worthy of a theatrical release.

It got me in the feels at the end. I was the only one who stayed for the post credit scene, understandable seeing as I was the only one there without kids. It was cute/ nostalgic.

great video and i was always interested in this mainly because of chris pine and it's the first animated disney movie that i have an interest in in a while also that's so cool that john got to be in a booth and record some lines

Chris and Fawn are simply amazing people. I met them a few times already by the way.

I was a bit iffy about this movie since the trailer failed to really grab my interest and make me feel excited about the movie but after watching your video I’m going to have to take the littles to watch it now. Thanks for the review and the amazing interviews, awesome job!

I especially love that this is another 2D 3D animation movie, it really is the most unique and, in my opinion, beautiful animation style, first it started with Into the Spider-verse, then Puss in Boots 2, then Across the Spider-verse, then TMNT Mutant Mayhem, and now Wish, I truly hope to see more,

This does look interesting. Ariana proved she can act and definitely sing in West Side Story. Chris Pine might be a memorable Disney villain (perhaps a villain) in this

I don't care what the internet seems to think and say about this movie, they're gonna hate it and it will probably be the scapegoat for all their Disney frustration. But I ADORED this movie so much. it's been a long time where I loved every single musical number in a Disney movie. Personally, I didn't care for "Frozen 1 or 2" and I hated "Encanto", this is way more in the vein of Tangled & Princess and the Frog, which I also loved.

This confirms it I assumed someone must told animators to keep characters composition in centre of screen even looks amateur to do so. It’s the first rule composition you don’t position things 100 percent in middle

I'm really looking forward to this movie. The animation is beautiful, the music sounds awesome, and I'm so glad we finally have a real villain in a Disney movie again.

King Magnifico is the tragic hero who is unfairly controlled by 'forbidden magic' and then pays for it because he tries to protect his people. It is a tale about two women and their seven useless friends who spread individualism at the expense of the well-being of the entire island.

Its tough to watch this because on one hand I know what hes trying to say but on the other he knows he cant be too harsh. Not giving a true one sided answer is hard to watch for me. I have yet to see the movie and I guess thats your point..? “Go see for yourself” I just don’t envy your position.

These interviews are basically movie commercials. Love the channel, but I prefer it when the reviews are unbiased. The movie flopped and it has a 48% on Rotten Tomatoes. I gave the video a thumbs-up anyway because I want to support the channel.

This looks like it’s not going to do well. There was a time when Disney meant quality, wholesome entertainment; however, now it seems like people are weary about their movies. It’s like people think they have to shield their children from Disney’s influence.

In the trailers I’ve seen, I thought the movie was visually gorgeous, but from what I’d heard from some other channels, they didn’t hate it, but was just ok with it, I wasn’t sure where this would land with me. Ultimately, I tend to watch movies for myself regardless of youtubers I trust or have similar tastes with, but John’s enthusiasm has me looking forward to this more than before. Will it live up to the weight of the 100 year anniversary? Maybe, maybe not. But, I’m not sure I’ll go into it with that being a big factor or factor at all. Thanks for this video, though. Great to see some insight from the creators.

Honestly, I feel like we should see it for ourselves and typically, audiences like a number of films more than the critics. Some movies like Encanto many hated including critics when it came out in theaters but I loved it and it became a popular hit among many later on on Disney plus.

what are you talking about? Encanto had rave reviews from the beginning the only reason it wasn’t successful was because it released when there was a huge covid surge and theaters were closed in many places. Encanto never had bad reviews

Just watched it. Wish was very underwhelming. Encanto was praised by everyone when it was released it had it late recognition because of COVID.

The book and toys are in store on the movie WISH. The girl character looks like Raya meets Frozen meets the movie The Star.

Was it more fun for you than the marvels? I'd like to see how both these Disney releases play. Especially in box office

The goat annoyed me in the trailers but then I remembered I'm an adult who doesn't like childish humor. I'll go see it with the family and I think I'll like it just fine like most Disney movies.

So this might be an unpopular thing to say but while everyone was hoping for this to be the next disney classic like encanto I was just hoping for it to be good enough. Considiring how much of a hit and miss track record disney has had I was just hoping for an animated film that was at the very least enjoyable to watch especially with families.

Low key saddd first Puerto Rican lead and it’s not about Puerto Rico 😂 ik Disney can’t make a movie about everyone buttt they have Lin Manuel (a Puerto Rican) making most of there music… we already have a brown curly headed girl on an island we already have a brown boy as a singer.. The marvels was by far much better than Wish but judging from both reviews, The Marvels was described like it was the worst movie ever. I think the main reason is that people have higher expectations for the MCU.
