Ally D you are so welcome!! same 😭 I want more Anne Gilbert moments .. all the time Anne was always hard on him ( still hate how the writers messed up the train scene- I was expecting so much on their way to Charlotte town) and he always so confused (not to mention saying to bash that he asked Anne if they had a chance which was so not true and yet she didn’t say no but he just cuts it off and says he got rejected🙄) and when they finally admit and face things the show ended 😭😭

It’s impressive how hard people are fighting 🤞 I agree it’s hilarious to me Gilbert’s confused facial expression. I loved Diana just telling him like it is I was watching season two over again and I was imagining how different the spin the bottle scenes would be if Gilbert was there!!

lol it's very unfair of gilbert to address it like this and then just say "she said no"

this whole fuckin scene. Every second, EVERY FRICKIN second, hurts my damn heart. Of all of his classmates he could speak to.. Of all his friends. He went to her. "my future if i want IT" I AM SOBBING the way anne lowered her eyes when he said "permission to propose" "i don't know what to do" now i am drowning in my own tears. He is miserable and as well is anne. But he is just a boy and he already has to deal with business such as proposal... Anne not wanting to ruin his future because of her... The hurt on his face when she says "i don't understand... what's holding you back". He was hoping she would want him to stay because of their bond but she didn't want to ruin his future so she said what she said and i am EXHAUSTED!! Plus the way he looked at her lips afterward i-- and the fact, that music starts playing at this specific moment is just---!! "JUST ONE THING" alone i- Then she realizes everything and basically chokes in her own words. He left HER SPEECHLESS The way he is trying to understand what in the heck is she mumbling and her being so confused How she stutters at the end not knowing what the frick to say, but she is still trying to do something about the situation and finish the sentence but she is drunk for fucks sake!! And the hurt on her face-- When the girls ruin their chance to FUCKIN FINALLY get together Gilbert being left in the back, not understanding anything when Anne gets dragged away... I don't even know what they wanted her to do!! Then again, the hurt on his face. I can see he was trying to figure out what more to say because he didn't want to believe she wouldn't want him after all they've been through. His lips fluttering in confusion and attempt to say something. and in some lighting, you can even notice a tear in his eye Then slowly standing up, the "i'll be off then", admiring her one last time from up to down and the hurtful slow leaving.... Anne knew she should've said something but again, she didn't want to ruin his future. And he was hoping, for the last time, that she would turn around and stop him. They were both so confused. WHAT A FRUSTRATING MISUNDERSTANDING!!

This scene transcribes the late love at first sight with such precision. This precise moment when you realize how much you love a person that you have known for years.

That fire scene is my fav it's so beautiful this show really knows how to make a love story however. Im annoyed at Gilbert cause one minuet! he's like Im not ready for marriage. Then he's like oh Im being offered my dreams so Im ready to marry Winnie. Remember Mary's resounding words "Marry for love, only love." that's what Gilbert needs to do, Anne is so confused she's doubting herself despite being a little tipsy she is trying to understand what's going on. Also Anne's not really been in love before so it's bound to make her question everything. I imagine Gilbert telling Anne I love you not Winnie, I have dreams yes but you are also my dream. Im wondering if you feel the same because I would really like to be able to start courting you. Two more episodes left to go well we know they are going to end on a cliff hanger lol, hopefully all our Shirbert dreams really do come true.

This series is my stress reliever I keep repeating it again and again whenever I feel stressed and tired ... It heals me very quick ... I just hope someday they decided to renew it

Honestly i felt so sorry for Gilbert on this scene. I know he said that to Anne in a pretty bad moment where she was all drunk, surrounded by her friends and it was too much for her to process in literal seconds, but his face when the girls appeared and took Anne away and the way he said "i'll be off then, goodnight" my heart just- Poor boi later tries to act all chill with Sebastian on the next scene, but he was clearly heartbroken here. If you think about it, he's always thought his love for Anne has been one sided. He's never got a real clue that she feels for him the same way, he desesperately wants her to just say it but it's been countless all the times when she's the one who breaks the eye contact, distances herself from him, avoids talking to him, so any word from her that sounds like rejection or hostility (even if it's not on purpose like in this case) he just interpretates it like a negative :(

The music they use in this scene is just beautiful and its probs my favorite from the series😭

I honestly think this show is speeding up their relationship faster than their timeline in the book and the other series of Anne and Green Gables. They probably don’t intend to run for too many seasons, and if they do, it might be about the war, during their engagement and/or after their marriage. MARK MY WORDS. We shall have an epic closure on episode 10 where Anne finally admits her feelings, except Gilbert probably already proposed and will feel like he can’t take back the proposal, but will cancel the wedding last minute in the next season to be with Anne. Unless she chases him in time to stop the proposal, which I doubt, because she’ll probably be helping Ka’kwet all of next episode 9.

What you're saying makes so much sense but my shirbert heart can't bare it :( something tells me the ship will sail this season, maybe my over-optimistic self is telling me that, BUT, episode 10 is called 'the better feeling of my heart' and captioned 'Anne steps into a new chapter of her life' so maybe, hopefully, with some help from God, Gilbert doesn't actually propose to Winnie in episode 9, probably because he feels the pen that Anne gave him, and episode 10, Gilbert comes back from queens and Anne confesses which is why her heart feels better? Or maybe I should stop rambling because that will never happen and I just want my ship to sail lol. remains to be seen ;-;

Gilbert the next day: i asked anne if theres a chance for us... she says no, basically. BLYTHE. WHEN. DID. YOU. ACTUALLY. ASKED. HER??? Lol his conv with bash the next day makes me frustrated! I honestly happy with how the ending turns out that gilbert knows he cant marry winifried before he even knows abt anne's feelings for sure BUT SERIOUSLY BLYTHE! Cristine I know right? I loved the actors in the movie and the way it ended but admittedly the drama in between was just so sad at times and not necessarily!😅

I like how he almost treated her like a best friend telling her his problems 💗but then also he kinda did it to ask if there was a chance. Also, I think she was confused/excited she just wants him to have his dream! and the *Pen* she lent him is important because it was mentioned twice and also Amybeth tweeted 3 important emojis for s3 and one of them was a pen. and by the way, I don't know if gilbert knew she was drunk she probably had too much pressure to handle all of this.👌 ( I love the way Gilbert is looking at Anne's lips to figure out what she is saying

it’s not that she doesn’t wanna confess her feelings she’s just unsure about them. gilbert made her make an impossible choice in so little time.

This scene is my most favourite scene of all the Gilbert+Anne scenes in the series. ❤ It's so heartwarming and yet so bittersweet... Like a lot was said but a lot more was left unsaid... Like a lot was felt and conveyed, yet a lot more remained suppressed and desired... Just beautiful.

Am the only one who thinks that Gilbert didn’t have nice teenage years? I mean he was always so grown up but especially in this scenes everyone was having fun that school ended he should have had fun with them

this is really a strange scene...Anne was drunk enough to say "I´m pirAtE", but not enough to declare her love for Gilbert... PS: I´m a man, I like woman (not gay, not bi) and I really loved Anne with an E, I see a lot of women saying they have a crush on Gilbert...well, I have a crush on Anne...
