Two strong earthquakes with magnitudes 7.2 and 7.1 occurred on Wednesday off the coast of Indonesia.
The epicenter was in the Banda Sea, near the Tanimbar Islands in Maluku province.
The depth of the earthquake was about 10 kilometers.
Residents of Saumlaki fled their homes after feeling strong vibrations from the earthquake.
Although no tsunami warning was issued, mini waves reached the shore a few minutes after the earthquake.
There were no reports of damage or injuries.
The Banda Sea is one of the four seas surrounding the Maluku Islands in Indonesia and connected to the Pacific Ocean.
