I’m 15 and I grew up with this song in my earlier childhood, now that I found it again, it makes me want to turn back to those times. It’s such a wonderful song.

It takes me back to dancing around the livingroom in the dark, late at night after my parents went to bed.

I remember my ex wife playing this song and it said a lot. I didn't listen then, now I do. I miss Pattie I do but its life and to late for changes. I thank her though. We had 3 beautiful kids and the man she has now Dennis I have respect for. I was bad into dope and getting high was all that mattered then. So to Dennis and Pattie both best wishes and happiness. Thanks Pattie and I want you to know I will always love you.

This song will forever make me bawl my eyes out. I lost my mom out of no where at 13 from a drug overdose and it took something inside my soul from me I'll never get back a piece of me died with her. She LOVED Cher and this song so it always brings her memory back. She also looked so much like her she could pass for her twin. R.i.p Mom I miss you every day.

I remember listening to this song when I was 10, my mother had the CD of Cher's Greatest Hits and this was one of the songs that just drew me in, I don't even know why at the time but I would listen to it as much as I was allowed to. Can't believe it's taken me so long to look this song up all those years later.... Still a song I really like and enjoy singing along with!

A classic. Cher at her very best. This is a great song.

The songs of my youth! Sad to be old, but I am proud of the music that plays as my life movie creeps along.

Although I wasn't the greatest fan years ago when this song was on radios, it was in my head the other day. I had to listen to it so I did and started to fall in love with it, 30 years after I first heard it. I read the lyrics now and see there's even more to the song than i thought. They don't call them classics for no reason.

I recently lost my cousin, who was more like an uncle tonight. He was the second person to hold me when I was born and we had the funeral about a week ago. They played this song and I cry whenever I hear it

Omg just found this, memories of a US road trip in the US 1989 with a long gone but special ex..this song was on ALL the time on the radio as we travelled down I95 staying in rusty motels, eating in diners and drinking in faded yet wonderful bars. Take me back there NOW please

Saw her live in Copenhagen Denmark in the summer of 1992 when Tivoli gave a free consert. Tivoli did this because it went 100 years. There must have been 60-70000 people there that summers night. A nice memory.

Many songs from 1989, 1990 and 1991 were turning points into a new beginning for many of us. From this one, wind of change by scorpions, toy soldiers, turn back time, smells like teen spirit, the entire ten album by Pearl jam, the albums use your illusions 1 and 2 and so many more songs. I was 12 when this song came on and there was so much happening in the world and to me. I remember thinking about how bright the future is going to be from 1989 to 2000. What a period of time for music. There is so much to experience. What a great time it's been.....

I also listen to it, "heart Of stone" is one of my fave albums when her music style was closer to harder rock rather than to dance, it was more guitar oriented though it is pop. I always enjoy "Whenever you´re Near", it could have been a great hit with better publicity.
