Note: The owners mentioned that both their paint coatings can be applied on matte surfaces too. But the coatings do have a jetting/darkening effect so they will alter the appearance of the matte surface to a darker/richer look. Keep that in mind when applying on matte surfaces.

    WOW, Pan! Firstly, we want to express our sincere gratitude for taking the time to create such an amazing video featuring our products! We are genuinely shocked and thrilled to see that you've been using Armour Detail Supply in your detailing routine, we did not even know we were on your radar or you had our products! I guess we have Owen at TOC to thank for that!! Your feedback means the world to us, and we're ecstatic to hear all of your thoughts on our products. It's a pleasant surprise to discover that you've been enjoying Armour Detail Supply, and we're committed to continuously improving our product line based on your insights. We appreciate your support and will carefully consider every piece of feedback you've shared. Our goal is to deliver exceptional quality, and your experience fuels our drive to enhance and innovate. Thank you once again for showcasing Armour Detail Supply in your video! We look forward to more collaborations and hope to keep exceeding your expectations. Happy detailing! Side note: the "don't use in direct sunlight" precaution is mostly just to cover ourselves as a company. Everything CAN and we use it in direct sunlight daily. It may just require a tweak in dwell time, or application to have an enjoyable experience.

    Another great video Pan. A few recent videos I’ve seen you in have had mentions of controversies or some questions on product performance, where the viewer could “feel” you were a little uncomfortable talking about them, but in this one you seem more chill, and just having fun. Nice to see that Pan back!

    Hehe thanks man! I wasn't uncomfortable, maybe just sick and tired of drama and negativity when there should not have been any. Grown up discussions are the way to go, and giving brands constructive feedback in a respectful way is what is needed. The detailing community needs to be positive and unite, if we want the industry to continue growing. Members of the public who aren't on detailing channels and forums would be sad to see how low some people or some brands will go, and that hurts the industry instead of pushing it upwards. That being said, wait until you see all the cool videos I have planned for the coming weeks and months. I'm excited! Have a great weekend!

    Another incredibly honest review! Could Not agree more. I have been using Armour Detail Supply for around 1 year. All great products! Their ceramic coatings are great! Agree with you on the glass coating. But their Quartz, Pro & wheel are phenomenal. ALL of their chemicals are great! Have not experienced a bad one yet. Imho their bottles & presentation is top in the industry. AND they should give lessons to other manufacturers on packaging & shipping!!! I have NEVER received a damaged shipment from Armour! These guys are RIGHT ON! Point

Pan really enjoyed your roundtable with other detailers discussing how to improve the Cerakote coating. I think that you should do group discussion after everyone individually tests a product and then give feedback ton your real of your different environment's to the manufacture's. You are very transparent on your opinions and reviews so that is why I watch you for the last 4 years.

  • @PanTheOrganizer

    @PanTheOrganizer

    6 ай бұрын

    Yeah I think they did a bit of tradeoff on slickness, for long term durability and self-cleaning properties. It's still slick and glossy, but for sure a good topper will help it even more.

  • @steveclark2426
    @steveclark24266 ай бұрын

    I just applied the quartz 3 yr coating last weekend on a big pickup. It was a little more difficult or grabby to remove compared to some other coatings I’ve applied. I was impressed with the gloss that I gave. I just got approved to get the pro coating so that will be my next one to try. TOC definitely has awesome customer service and they have really fast shipping. I’ll be interested to see how detail armour performs as I’m in the country in eastern Ontario and I find our gravel dirt roads are very cruel in any coating and leave a film that masks any coating thus requiring unclogging very regularly. Keep up the great videos!

  • @PanTheOrganizer

    @PanTheOrganizer

    6 ай бұрын

    Thanks for sharing Steve! Yes I agree with the slightly more grabby levelling initially with the towel, and once you "brake" through that first buff, then it starts gliding. I guess it has something to do with the high amount of hard curing solids they have in the formulation. No the easiest to apply and remove, but not too complicated. If it has long term performance, we can forgive the slightly more difficult levelling.

    Pan you did a great job describing this product line up. Every product looks very well thought out and it looks like Yvans fingerprint was involved here. I like having a separate wheel and tire cleaner for not so well maintained vehicles. Their ceramic coating reminds me of Kronos which is my flagship coating. On a side note I think I am going to offer a second flagship coating like the DIY stack to offer customers industrial strength or more gloss. Not to my knowledge. Rain drops dry and evaporate and leave behind minerals, that can eventually start etching at the clear coat or coating. So having protected paint is important and also regular washing of your car is what prevent water spots, bird droppings and other contaminants of etching the finish.

    Thank you for presenting a new line of products 👍 When you say use a dry aid to remove the surface water. Isn't it going to kill the drying towel with the SiO2 product? Also noticed you were using a chenille glove to clean your wheel. I personally started to use microfiber gloves on top of the nitrile ones to apply some products. Also to clean some difficult areas as well. It’s much faster and more precise than fighting with the microfiber towel😅

  • @PanTheOrganizer

    @PanTheOrganizer

    6 ай бұрын

    When you are using a microfiber towel to dry your paint, it's important to use a drying aid (quick detailer) as a lubricant, which helps prevent marring. Anytime you touch paint, there are chances of marring. So you want that lubrication. Of course, there will be buildup of protection on the fibers of the towel over prolonged use, making the towels less absorbant over time, hence why it's important to clean the towels after each wash. And use a quality microfiber detergent capable of stripping those spray sealants. My favourite detergent being this: amzn.to/48noPNr Or better yet, do like I normally do, buy a car dryer or leaf blower, that way you have a 100% touchless drying and quicker too. :) No need for drying aids, other than a quick wipe down at the end to pick up residual water. For wheels, I typically use a microfiber wheel mitt like this: amzn.to/3S5Ze5U or the Incrediflair mitt from Microfiber Madness.

    In theory yes. But as wheel coatings only last 6-12 months on average it’s likely not as crucial as for paint. I would for sure use a decon soap, then iron remover, potentially light clay if needed, and do the IPA wipe with the panel prep spray. Polishing would be optional.

    How is the lubricity on the iron remover? Could this be used similar to DIY detail in claying the car?

  • @PanTheOrganizer

    6 ай бұрын

    I haven't used it in a "iron remover as clay lube" scenario, as I don't know the chemical composition of the Armour Detail Supply iron remover. My friend Yvan (DIY Detail) says iron removers that can be used as clay lubes need to be free of solvents. So perhaps the boys at Armour Detail Supply will read your comment and provide us with some guidance as to its potential use as a clay lubricant with a synthetic perforated clay towel or mitt. One thing is for sure, it's not recommended to use iron removers with traditional clay bars.

There are only so many times you need to ceramic coat your car, I feel your ordinary home detailer is spending a lot of money on advertised products and the professional detailers are tied into a certain franchise , its all good fun to see these products but it's like going to a sweet emporium, brilliant to feast your eyes on and try as many as you can but you eventually have had enough.

    Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I understand it can be overwhelming for many to see this many brands and products. When I started detailing 26+ years ago, we were hard pressed to find excellent products. There were only a few brands available to the public, like Meguiar's and Turtle Wax and Mothers. All that existed back then were a few cheap waxes that barely lasted a month and were a nightmare to buff off haha. Thankfully things evolved, new technologies got introduced, thanks in part to the growing competition of new brands popping up. So while it gets confusing as we're flooded with thousands of products from hundreds of brands, at least there's a higher chance know that you'll find higher quality products that will suit your needs and price point. Hopefully my videos help people navigate through the endless sea of offerings and my viewers can ultimately make better purchasing decisions.

    I have used this applicator in a few videos: amzn.to/3vo57T4 I use it mainly with the more runny style spray dressings, like the Obsessed Garage Tire Dressing.

    I didn't realize how much work you do off camera to test products. Many hours, im sure. This company looks pretty good to me. Now, the BIG question: which vehicle is Pan gonna buy next? We haven't been updated recently, and i know Pan is probably either ready to purchase or in his final steps. Ok buddy, which one? Lol.

    Yeah the amount of time I spend testing and testing, and trying, and doing off label use to see what else can be done with products, is mind boggling. If I had to film everything, I would have videos for decades hahhaha. I have been doing tests even way before I started my channel. Decades ago when I first started detailing, I was always on the hunt for the next greatest thing and see which product was better in a certain category, for my conditions and needs and budget. The vehicle has been ordered at this point, and is being built and will eventually ship out in a month. It should arrive on time for April as expected. Stay tuned!! :)

    64 bucks a gallon for the soap so it's up there with the Adams mega foam. Which is one I still want to try 😐 I've been using the chem guys honey dew. I use one oz in my mjjc pro and one oz in my wash bucket. Definitely want to give these guys a try now.

    Shampoo+ was designed to be used at 1oz in the foam canon, and 1oz in the bucket. The idea was to get 64+ washes out of the gallon to make it super economical. Essentially $1 per wash, or less if you don't use a foam cannon!

    Welcome to my channel. You discovered one of the biggest car detailing channels on KZread as we surpassed 1 million subscribers and we have over 135 million views! I have been detailing for 27 years and I love to share my knowledge and passion with my viewers. You found the right channel to help you learn everything about detailing. Congrats on your new ride! What did you buy? A new car is never new until it's properly detailed. - at the factory, the paint defects are often corrected quickly by rotary polishing which can leave marks and holograms, so polishing corrects those, before you lock that in long term with a ceramic coating for example. - vehicles are then transported by truck, train and boat so they are exposed to the elements, industrial fallout, brake dust, rail dust, etc - vehicles are often left at boat docks (when transported by boat) or in exterior parking lots for weeks or months, again being exposed to the elements - at the dealership, the vehicles are almost always poorly prepped using the same dirty water that was used for all the cars on a given day, and poor washing and drying methods leading to swirls and scratches - at the dealership, a layer of cheap wax or paint sealant is usually applied to attempt to make the paint glossy prior to delivery. It's crucial to remove any previous protection before you apply a ceramic coating, as coatings need to bond directly to a virgin clear coat. If you only plan on applying a regular carnauba wax or paint sealant though, you could decide to skip machine polishing, as those protectants can be applied over existing protection and it's not as crucial to prep the paint as well. I explain all of this in this popular video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/g5uj29R8XZipfcY.html So you can better visualize the new car prep process, here are the steps I perform on a brand new car for my customers: RS6 Avant Performance: kzread.info/dash/bejne/fmmHs5KTea2pmpM.htmlsi=mcQiMs9HBLlaqjGK Mercedes S 580: kzread.info/dash/bejne/iKWT1sicp9Xfhqw.htmlsi=whord2_UEFSg28UW Aston Martin Vantage: kzread.info/dash/bejne/gX-bw5Wyirm6odI.html Volvo XC60: kzread.info/dash/bejne/pqp4pKSensu_dqQ.html Tesla Model Y: kzread.info/dash/bejne/maOczdVxqLObfrw.html Porsche 911 Carrera: kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZJefy8uvkqnXo5c.html Audi Q7: kzread.info/dash/bejne/pmt8paSMhtHPqrA.html
